Do not use PLA or PLA+ material for this type of work. It melts in the sun. If you take this to a fair in summer and are outside your material will warp, deform, and / or outright melt. If you leave this in your car for some reason it will melt. Use PETG for any material you intend to take out to an outside event. Its more expensive but most modern printers including the one in this video can safely print with this material.

Have you tried using flexible filament? As a larper the main worry I have with this is sharp details catching on other players.
