Cake toppers are an awesome way to use your Cricut. Adding a print then cut element can really enhance the look of your design without adding a ton more work for you the amazing creator! I made this cake topper with cardstock from Michaels. the Cricut Maker, Foam tape, Art Glitter Glue, and Print then cut and it only took about an hour! So grab a seat and learn how to use Print then Cut with your Cricut to create fun colorful designs to use with cake toppers!

Another option to the paper straws is to cut the backer with rectangles at the bottom for sticking on your glowforge, Usually out of a thin piece of acrylic oh.. I also score the image to provide a guide for the pieces cut on the Cricut Works great. I never thought to use foam tape love it. Your design is perfect as a door hanger for a little one. Great video and so easy to understand for a beginner cake topper maker. My print then cut doesn't work, I've tried so many ways to calibrate my machine with no success. What would be a great alternative to the print then cut since it limits me alot.

Hand cutting probably would be your best bet or check out the hack I post for a full page print then cut. It basically tricks your machine into doing print then cut without scanning the lines

I'm not understanding print and cut. There are so many Disney images in DS that I cannot print, even though subscribed. Why can't I just add them to canvass and print from cricut?

Are you based in the US? Only people in the United States Can use licensed images. Also you have to pay for those designs so that may be some of the issues. They are also not all made for print then cut so you would have to change the operation to print then cut if they are not set up that way.

Also the Cricut doesn't do the printing you have to have an outside printer.

@@CorinneBlackstone No, I'm in Canada. But I am paying for DS, and it doesn't give me an option to pay for specific designs. I was speaking specifically to the Disney princess dresses. Can't even cut them. I know the print part is for an outside printer... I used print instead of 'cut' for my question. Sorry about the confusion.

@@loribest6929 yep you can’t have them. They are only licensed for people who live in the United States. Disney is super restrictive and expensive for licensing.

It’s all on the make it screen. It shows you each color as it cuts so you know what color or what material to load onto the mat and cut at that time.

@@gios4412 you don’t weld when doing print then cut. You can flatten or attach depending on what you want the machine to do

Be aide design space is evil. Truly it doesn’t always work the way we want. Redo the offset and see if it works
