I recently purchased this pattern and am grateful for your tutorial and review of the pattern. I am a larger size than you but appreciate your comparison to your previous jackets you have made. It is nice to have a couple of jackets to complete outfits. Thank you.

Where are you finding your chain? You’re in the US it’s about $.70 an inch which I find horrible! And I love what you’ve done with the netting on the shoulders

Thanks! I use beads on the outside, not chains but have you looked at Joann's or any other fabric/hobby store? You can buy a roll for $13-15 or shorter bits, which seems like a reasonable price to me. It's not luxe jewellery grade but it seems okay. At Joann the brand is 'hildie & jo Small Link Iron Cable Chain - Shiny Silver' (not sponsored, just a suggestion)

I was just there today looking for trim…no luck. But I will look on their website for chain! Thanks so much. You are extraordinarily talented and I adore your beading! I’m currently working on a Chanel style that has the lining quilted to the fashion fabric and lots of ( much loved) hand sewing. I’ll send a phot when it’s done! I follow Susan Khalje’s classes. I do wish you’d teach as I’d fly to England just to learn your beading!

Thanks! I do love beading. And yes, Joann online has the chains if your local store doesn't. 🌸🧥

Thanjs for tgd vudro. Why does the pattern require 4 cuts of the front panels (2×2) and just one of the back panel. Can't figure it out ...

The princess seams at the front help the front pieces go around your bust. Most jacket patterns also have 3 pieces on the back to shape the jacket around your shoulder blades but this jacket just has more ease on the back. I prefer V7975, but this pattern is easier to sew together. Burda 6123 is also a simple to sew together jacket pattern.
