I'm always literally shocked to see any thumbs down votes. How could anybody NOT love Jenny and her tutorials!?!? This is a BEAUTIFUL quilt! Your fabric choices are always perfect. Thank you for letting us into your world and for sharing your knowledge with us. ❤️

Lawanda Hony , I ve thought of this many times when seeing thumbs down on free tutorials. “If you don’t like what you see, just pass it by and stop being negative!”
@cynthiastark72586 жыл бұрын
I’ve commented on this before. Even if you don’t care for the quilt it’s still a great tutorial and should never rate a thumbs down.
@susancullen5356 жыл бұрын
Ditto ditto and ditto. I can’t understand why anyone would dislike something someone is offering to teach you to do...FOR FREE. Perhaps there are a few dyslexic Quilter’s out there?

The churn dash has always been one of my favorites. It never goes out of style. This quilt is lovely.
@rachaelpooplard5 жыл бұрын
I made this for my sister! I used a designer print jelly roll by Benartex and cream background. I added in a strip or two of flannel plaids, and made several churn dash block centers opposite, to have the cream or white be the churn dash! Some of my points were not that great, which caused my whole row to shift when putting it all together, ha ha. Word to the wise. But I learned a lot and had so much fun! It is very smart to use a bright color on the hst's. I had just enough of that fabric left to put 5 inch squares in my border corners too. It looks so pretty :) and I can hardly believe I made it! The Double Churn Dash was a relatively fast quilt to make, compared to other patterns, it gets big fast- and the biggest quilt I have made so far. ! Thank you Jenny and MSQC. I love you!

I've always loved the churn dash block so this is double the fun. And with such a big block you could have a top done in no time!

Your presentations are so down to earth and natural that they are a joy to watch. Thank you! I loved your hesitation in cutting your first strips (just like me). Measure twice, cut once.

Jenny it is always great watching you and your crew. I just finished 2 disappearing nine patch quilts using your idea and all railroad fabric. Thanks. Nice and easy. I have a few 2 1/2 jelly rolls that would make really nice quilts. I like the idea that Julia is going to make a bed runner for her friend. Thanks Julia, I might make one for myself.

Love her. Started loving her as a new quilter because her tutorials are wonderful. She shows you that you can do anything, she's not a snob quilter like so many. And she gives cutting detentions. So many won't tell you the cutting measurements because they want you to order the pattern. Bet all her children and grandchildren have the most beautiful quilts.....unless it's kind of like working in a chocolate factory and hating chocolates. Lol

It is now July 2023 and I just found this video! I’ve been a big fan and customer of MSQC for years but keep forgetting about going back and watching the older videos! And yes, I agree with those people who do a thumbs down! I call them idiots! I love this block - never even considered doing a block in a block Churn Dash! A very nice big block and fun to make!!! I just out the digital pattern in my ever-growing basket😄😄😄

I like big blocks and I cannot lie!! LOL!! I'm sure someone already said that, but I just couldn't help myself. :-) I'm thinking that using four of those blocks, in nursery fabrics, would make a great baby quilt. An initial in the middle would be a sweet bonus! Thanks, Jenny, for making the churn dash one of my new faves!!

This does look like a really great quilt! I noticed that between the small church dash and large one you switched the two patterns from top & bottoms and the sides. I think it adds more depth this way the. If you used them the same places on each level.
