Nice looking streamer ! Been tying similar pattern - John Barrs slump buster, but I like to use the Arizona semi seal and diamond dub for dubbing loops . Lots of nice fishy colors in the Arizona semi seal dubbing. With todays selection of the vast amount of materials available the sky’s the limit in tying . I’ve been at it for 40 years and love seeing the younger generations picking up the sport ! Keep up the nice work in your tying , a lot of patterns I’ve made were mostly by trial and error and every now and then I come up with a killer pattern. Enjoyed your video-tight lines!

Wow! Great video and beautiful fly. Lots of fly tying techniques rolled up into one nice streamer. I’ll give it a whirl.

Mike, what size hook? Interesting adding ice dubbing in the tail. I use it for collars on nymphs or in the body. Now I'll tie it in the tails along with the crystal flash on some streamers. Thanks

Whatever size you want!

Pretty cool. I'm fairly new to tying, and to call my flies "crude" would be an understatement - but they catch fish. So far, it's been all dry flies - the small streams I like to fish are perfect for dries, and that's all you usually need. I haven't done much streamer fishing, but I know they work in small streams too (although probably in a smaller size), and if I want to take on browns in a larger stream, I can utilize them there too.

If they catch fish that is all that matters!! I personally don't think the fish matter all that much (to a point)

@@FLYALLSZN For me, it's all about visibility; the flies I've tied so far seemed to work better out West, in slower moving water where I could easily track them. My last time in the Smokies, in the first week of November, the weather was beautiful, but with that fast water, the glare was horrible - I had a hard time spotting my flies.
