I love this Gardening Gnome! It reminds me of my late Grandpa who was a farmer and always wore a straw hat, of course without the flowers, and he wore denim work coveralls, but again no apron. I will have to make a few of these for my family with a few changes using denim!n. Thank you for the idea!

Your gnome and tutorials are marvelous 😘 !!! I’ve learned sooo much from you. I can’t thank You enough. I may not be able to make everyone of the gnomes , but I still get just enough pleasure watching and learning from each each video.

I have questions about making the tools because I've never crafted with clay. Are you using the kind of clay that gets baked? I see you have Sculpy III on your Amazon list. Is there wire in the clay tools? Did you paint them or use grey clay? How tall are the tools?
@SarahNenniDaher2 жыл бұрын
Great questions, Maureen. The tools are only a few inches high, I just eyeballed them so they stuck out of the apron pocket. The clay I used was Sculpey II (but, yes the kind you bake) in white for the handle and metallic gray for the tops. I used the same 12 gauge wire I used on the gnome (just a straight stick of it) and built the handle around it. Then I made the tops and to join them together, I left a piece of the wire sticking out of the handle and pressed the tip into it. Then I just blended it with my fingers. I baked it per the package instructions. I used a floral napkin from the Dollar Tree and decoupaged it onto the white handles and then sealed it with the clay sealant but I am pretty sure you could seal with ModPodge or lacquer and be fine. Does this help?
