Thanks for the pattern. I sewed mine up, placed a full can inside the hit it with water from a spray bottle. I then allowed to dry with a book on top of the can. Turned out great and molded nicely to the bottom. Thank again mate...

Dustin, I've ordered quite a bit from your store. Always pleased with your product line. The end results are beautiful and they sell well. Will be buying more from you soon!

I just made my first one. Thanks for the pattern! I was dreading trying to stitch the second side with my big hands and fingers. Great tip to start at the bottom! I also discovered that if you slightly pinch the sides together, you can stitch through both holes at once, and do all the work from the outside instead of working back to front (outside to inside). You just need to make sure you snug everything up after each stitch.

Grateful for the free pattern but I could not follow the hand stitching part of the tutorial because your hands were in the way... Unfortunately mine didn't come out the same 😭😭

I'm wondering if wet forming the bottom, would alleviate the falling over when empty.

I wish the camera work had more close up views without arm and hand blocking the views. I don't have a clue as to how to do that stitch.

Made myself one awesome template!!! I found that starting the stitching on the bottom of both sides as well as only going half way down the first side then starting the second side and stitching all the way from the bottom to the top then finishing the remaining half on the first side.

How about putting the leather around something the correct diameter and use rubber bands to hold it in place while starting the stitching?

Nice lil project. Downloaded the pdf. And gonna make myself one. I'm curious about something on the stitching. On that intricate a stitch. When you do that, can you turn the camera to a better angle. To give a better view. :) Thanks a bunch for the nice tutorial and pattern.

Hey, great video and great website. Thanks for the inspiration. I just made my first one and it’s a bit snug, I’ll have to make sure I cut to the outside of the template line next time but do you have any tips for stretching it ever so slightly? Thanks again

Does condensation from the drink end up in the bottom and come out the sides onto whatever it’s sitting on?

Does a sweaty can in the summer time cause the leather to change shape or expand when it absorbs the moisture?

What's your opinion on using an oil tanned leather for this project? It doesn't seem like the supplier linked above still carries the leather you're using in the project and the cuts they do have are far too pricy in relation to the average price this product sells for on competing Etsy shops.
@MAKESUPPLYLEATHER5 жыл бұрын
Oil tanned is great for this project since its already more resistant to moisture. Would recommend!

In case you still need it, it's in the video description, just below the video. You have to expand that area.
