They work great and remember to get directly over your snag if possible. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hey, if u try chains, which obviously helpful, maybe for from shore casts, post an update. Gonna try myself to see. I’ve even used a pole holder from Walmart from a good distance away from shore and it worked.

Wouldn't use the catfish sinker slides. There's no reason to bust that plastic off and destroy a sinker slider. You can just buy the snap without the plastic and it's much much cheaper and easier to find in local stores. Especially if you just want a small ten pack. Other than that good video that should help people save lures and money... So they can buy more lures lol

Good point there. I used the sinker sliders because that is what I had laying around. Whatever you use I can assure you that they work! Sorry for my very late reply and tight lines to ya.

I use those sinkers and leave the round plastic part connected. I run paracord through it. Because sometimes you need to bounce a little more, and you can pull the paracord to help with that

which style of sinker do you find works the best ? Nice info

I have had success with all types but the flat round river sinker seems to be the best. The Pyramid sinkers sometimes will get hung up in between branches in brush piles because of the big head on them. Also, I try to use 3 ounce ones which seem heavy enough to dislodge most lures. Good luck with them and thanks for watching and commenting.

Would you not attach string to plastic loop for retrieval

When the retriever slides down your line and pops the lure loose you just reel your line in with the lure and retriever together.. No other line needed.. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Does this method work for us who fish in public ponds from the bank?
@LENFFISHING2 жыл бұрын
This works the best when you can get directly above the thing that you are snagged on. For this to work you have to get the sinker to slid down the line and be in direct contact with the lure that is snagged. This is easy when you are in a boat. If you are on the bank and get hung up it's probably not going to be much help. Thanks for asking.

@@LENFFISHING Perhaps you can experiment with using an elastic band to power the weight like firing a slingshot - or maybe it will not slide along. If it works it will even remove snags from trees!
