Make a Ring with a Decorative Prong Setting: A Silversmithing Tutorial

This tutorial shows how to make a fun 6 point Crown setting. This is an advanced level project because of some precise soldering and shaping. For materials, I used 16 gauge sterling square wire, and number 4 Low Dome Half Round wire. The stone is an 8mm bright orange cubic zirconia. Hello Verda. I you mean assembled from square wire rather than cutting from sheet, it was because I felt like I could do a neater job. My sawing skills continue to get better, but still not great:)
