Make A Successful Business Plan - Or Any Plan

During my life coaching sessions, goal setting and making realistic plans for reaching those goals is always discussed. Quite often when we make a business plan, or any kind of plan, it will get derailed by an unforeseen factor. When that happens, do you just give up on your plan? Or maybe, just maybe you have a Plan B that you can rely on when Plan A doesn't work. How about Plan C or D?
Then there is the other side of it... Are you able to adjust your plan when things move forward faster than you had planned? When the world around you accelerates your plan, can you adjust and keep up?
The idea here is to recognize there are many variables that can, and will, influence your plan. And the success of the plan will depend quite a bit on how flexible that plan is. How easily can you adjust your plan so you can still work towards obtaining the bigger goal?

Love it...Flexibility. Definitely need to work on this myself. I tend to B-line my plans and then adjust later.

I think B-lining and then adjusting is, in a way, a plan. And it's a plan that can work as long as you don't lose focus or get derailed trying to figure out a plan B in the moment. Honestly, for some things, having a plan that is simply a "go with the flow plan" makes the adventure all that more enjoyable.

Planning is by far my weakest practical skill. I believe in it, I study it, I make at least four alternate possible plans for every project, and then... everything's chaos anyway. If you taught a class on planning, I'd buy the heck out of that. Just sayin 😄

HaHaHa - Yes, everything is chaos anyway. And in my head, the easiest way to work in the energy of chaos is not to try to manage the chaos, so much as manage how I respond to the chaos. Thus, a pliable plan is usually a good one.
