This was a super useful tutorial! Thank you very much, Juna! Someday, if you are stuck looking for an idea for a video, could you cover how to keep your designs organized so that you can find things when you need them, and not clog up your hard drive with a million versions? 😅 Many thanks, Juna! You are doing such a good job! ❤

Couldn't you use Inkscape to do a trace bitmap and import the SVG file into Affinity Designer, then modify it as needed? Also, I think a lot of people are buying some or all of the Affinity products. I just bought the whole suite during their 50% off sale. You had a series of videos on using Designer to design T-shirts, but it's 3 years old. Can you do another video (or series) using Designer and showing off some of the new features in version 2.5?

Thanks for the video! All your videos are super helpful. I’ve been using upscaled AI art (ideogram) mainly for my graphics and sometimes adding a vector line border to correct jagged edges after removing the background. Question: I find that gradients and textures created by AI look good from a distance but tend to pixelate pretty quickly as you get closer. Even when upscaled. Should I worry about how that looks on tshirts? I don’t want to have to test print things. 😅
@DetourShirts5 ай бұрын
Yes. It depends on how bad the pixelation is. A little may be okay

Do you recreate every one of your designs in Affinity Designer? and also can you explain how to get approved by amazon merch on demand? or how to reapply ? I just got declined and I don't know what to do now.
@DetourShirts5 ай бұрын
I don't recreate every design just a few.... There is no guaranteed way to get a approved it's pretty much luck. Try at different times of the month. Reapply with a different email.

How is the integration between Affinity and Canva going to work? Do you need to pay for both subscriptions?
@DetourShirts5 ай бұрын
Im not sure yet. Right now you will have to pay for both but my guess is they will have an integrated plan in the future

This is a good tutorial but I was wondering if you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator. I am not I have affinity but I keep hearing Adobe was a good tool for doing the vector tracing and turning the graphics into paths without the detailed tracing. Do you know if this is true? I know Adobe is much more epensive but if it allows doing this type of work without all this manual tracing it may be worth it. Just curious.

Can we use kittl vectorizer....or affinity design is better
@DetourShirts5 ай бұрын
It's different.... A vectorizer is faster and will try to duplicate what it sees but because the AI art is inconsistent to begin with the vector made by a vectorizer will be inconsistent too.

I wanted to make a tshirt with the word capy on it but I found out capy and capybara are trademark... so I had to change the word phrase capy life for something else and then there was another phrase "100% swag" ... do I infringe in trademake if I use a trademark work in a longer phrase?
@DetourShirts4 ай бұрын
It's tricky but most of the time it's the full phrase

G’day mate. Is there an easy way to turn an existing AI design into a sticker, or give the art work, the clean white background around it, using affinity? No matter what tools I use to remove the background, it’s never perfect, so I am thinking maybe I just need to trace around the subject/artwork and give it the sticker look - so it doesn’t have jagged lines or faded lines by trying to remove the background on Affinity or most online apps. Thanks in advance. Keep up the great videos now that you’re a “free man” 🫡
@DetourShirts5 ай бұрын
Yeah... I like to use white background but I often have to trace around it so there are no jagged lines like you said.
