Endless knowledge is a beautiful thing. Thank you kind sir for the tuts and the wonderfully inspiring artistic approach that, personally I find the greatest adventure. The gift of an education in any form is without a doubt the pinnacle of any gift given or received. My sons world is open and the stars are now no limit. Lets just say, I won't say for I'm not saying anything for sympathy or otherwise. But, life for my wee lad these last few years, like most, has been very hard,.. If I could explain what you and CG and a couple other dig artist have given my son, you'd be forever changed. I know that he had not much going for him but, within a mere minute of watching me work on a tut of yours, his curiosity hit solid and now its like a switch was thrown and he LOVES this 3d animating world and, more importantly, he fits with others in the crowd just like long lost friends. I just want to ramble on but, you see my point and, I again thank you so very much for this gift. It is well received and has given my son the ability to have an opportunity to open such a door. He not only opened it but is now, as I type, in his room working on another project 👍 I have nothing but mad respect for you my friend!!

Thanks so much man, I'm loving this one. For some reason sometimes I can't get the seamless animation that you have, even if I set my animation to linear there is a slow down and a pause at the end of the 120 frame animation before it starts up again, it won't just turn continuously like yours. Even though it appears that I have set it up the same way as you. Is there another setting I need to change? Thanks again!
@krismoonpie4 жыл бұрын
@Nicholas Hansen Thanks, I figured it out in the graph editor. Maybe his settings are a little different or something. Sometimes his animations behave a certain way without him appearing to do anything extra but sometimes I have to mess around to get the same appearance.

@@krismoonpie Hey! I have the same problem, can you please elaborate on how did you manage to do that in graph editor? thank you!

One thing I would do instead... Don't use the image plane of the clouds, you'll see it in the refraction if you use cycles. Instead use the same HDRI with the mapping coordinates set with a negative value for Z location so you are high in the clouds. 👍

Hi Nathan, First, many thanks for your inspiring tutorials! This one, in particular, is one of my favourites and one that I am currently watching over and over in order to replicate and learn from. If you don't mind though, I have a question about this particular tutorial - having applied a glass texture to the "egg" shape, I note that the "egg" is transparent/translucent, as expected, but does not appear to have a reflection of the abstract shape around it? Is there a setting that I missed in the video or that wasn't covered? I must admit, the shading part of blender is really "other worldly" for me at the moment as I am from a traditional creative background so any help on this would be very much appreciated! Best wishes, John.

Question for Eevee: You often make effects with Eevee and check the "Ambient Occlusion" but don't use a Ambient Occlusion-node. Does it really change something, when just checking the box or do you need the node`? (Didn't see a difference until i plug in a node)
@TheDucky3D4 жыл бұрын
AlvosTiger The note does a very similar thing, but with the note you can interact with it in the note editor and make the effect more extreme. They both work at the same time

Hi Ducky. Another great tutorial as usual. You have such an artistic eye. I have one question though. Blender 3.2 does not have the 'image as plane' add-on available to bring in the background image. How would this be done without the add-on? Thank you.

how many samples did you render this in? i have rendered it at 1000 samples and i still cant get the glass to be noise free like yours?
@maxgrey36944 жыл бұрын
You need to use the denoiser is the compositer. Basically it's an algorithm that tries to get rid of noise and fireflies to clean up renders, and it can work really well even on sample counts less than 50. I suggest you look up a tutorial on how to use it because it's pretty much essential if u want to use cycles
