Today has been a not so good day, one of those where you just want to go bury your head in the sand kind of days. But our ground is frozen, TV is lousy so after dinner tonight I started browsing and here you are, all bright and cheerful, a beautiful smile and a beautiful bright quilt to brighten any ones day. Thank you Jenny, more than you really can know, this meant the world to me. Blessings to you. Now I am going to go dig out some 10" squares. I haven't wanted to even try something for months. ;)

Just call me a new quarantine quilter! I remember hand piecing a quilt top with my grandmother in the sixties, but didn’t pursue it as a hobby after she passed away in 1971. Now that I am retired and have all of this time on my hands, I can’t wait to dive back in! Your tutorials are so inspiring. Thank you so very much!

I'm like you I guess. I decided to teach myself to quilt after handsewing a bunch of fabric facemasks.

I’ve always wanted to make one but was hesitant because of the complexity of the other ways. THIS is doable!! I’m so excited. I’ve got several layers cakes in different lines now I can’t wait to make several new quilts!! Beautiful & easy! Thank you & God bless you. Stay safe & healthy!

I made this with Christmas fabric in charms and added a piano key by cutting extra charms in half and sewing them together. I drove myself crazy trying to match my star legs and of course Jenny makes a scrappy one look so beautiful! I am going to have to make this again w a layer cake now!

I just love you Jenny!!! You were the one who really gave me courage to pick up my Grandmothers needle the thread after she passed away and continue our family quilting line. You are such an inspiration! Please don’t stop your tutorials. Thank you and your family for all that you do to help other quilters out there. Your sewing knowledge, tips, and tricks are such a blessing. ❤️

This is great as I have a collection of difficult lilac-turquoise squares. This will be a nice pattern for it, with light aqua or white as background. Thank you!
@sonataki4 жыл бұрын
Funny you should say that because as I was looking at it I was thinking I wonder if it would look good on something other than a white background. I think I'll try it out. Thanks for giving me some reassurance that it's okay to try something other than the white background.

Love this quilt pattern although I’ve always seen it called Carpenters Wheel. So easy and fun to do and it’s my favorite, a square, and by making 7” borders I get an 85” quilt. I like square quilts so no one side of the quilt gets worn on the bed. Thanks for reminding me of this oldie but goodie pattern. Stay healthy!
@sewcrazybaker4 жыл бұрын
Mimi Lisa, this quilt goes by either name. So both names are used for the same pattern. This happens quite often with quilt blocks and entire quilts.

It is coming together beautifully and is so easy! But! I'm wasting a lot of time just fondling this fabric... lol Stay happy and healthy, team and keep bringing us joy. Cool pattern! I just went into my "scraps" (organized by 10," 5," and 2 1/2" squares) and pulled out a bunch from my 10" squares to try this. I had to supplement with cutting out some extra background solids - again "scraps" in off whites. I sewed it in quadrants as described. It turned out great! I think I may get back into those 10" squares and make another! I have a bunch of "pinks" as I have two girls. Thank you!
