If someone brought me that project, I would have had NO problem getting it done. I would have just emailed "a guy I know" and said "Hey, Chad, how soon can you have this done for me?" (LMAO). Nice work. Very informative. Always nice to see you on KZbin.

And this is why you are the Craftsman of choice for those 'Difficult' jobs, even with time constraint. What about making an old fashioned mitre box and cutting odd angles with a small fine hand saw. Happy New Year to you and the family Chad

Great job, Chad. I'm a retired engineer and my head was spinning halfway through this project. I possibly could have figured it out in time but like you said, why reinvent the wheel. Happy New Year. Bill

Hey chad, where did that pic of that old home 0:46 come from? It looks just like one being restored in my small town. Maybe the rendering of what it’s going to look like. Though the shape and everything is there of course.
@ChadStanton2 жыл бұрын
Interestingly I typed in historical house in google and that was the first one that popped up and oddly the description says it’s from my town. Kind of crazy.

so why not make a negative plane for the profile? then you can use a shooting board or other jig to hold the piece at the angle needed. plane it down. good to fit. I would think they would have the positive to make the molding and a negative for fitting together
@ChadStanton2 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea! Unfortunately, I don't know where to get a plane like that. Thanks for the suggestion
