I watched a local rider on a TLR200 doing the same sort of obstacles you show on another video. I looked at his forks and sure enough there was a HFS fork cap. The stock forks are so slow, it feels like to could down a pint before they come back up. Thanks for taking the time to do this, really looking forward to future videos. 👍

Thanks for the support Jon! It’s surprising how capable an old bike can become when it’s set up properly. Definitely changed the dynamics of the bike completely!

@@BonifaceRides No problem, it's really good when someone details what they do to the TLR. I have one that has been modded but the forks really let it down. I'd seen the kit before but never found anyone who has used it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Man, I had never heard of HFS. So went and had a look and they make kits for my 30 & 40 year old BMW GS's. Looking at your results it might be worth a try. Thanks.

Interesting video what weight oil did you use and what was the cost?
@BonifaceRides2 жыл бұрын
I used 5 weight fork oil, I paid $450 aud for shipping, the fork kit, maintenance kit and pump. There are cheaper kits and you don’t have to get the extras that I got and it will knock the price down a fair bit!

Interested to know what front brake actuator/arm you are using ? Much longer than standard

Would this work in a tlr200 reflex or no because of different forks?
@BonifaceRides Жыл бұрын
You would have to contact HFS mate. I feel like they possibly would

HFS fork kits are expensive and dont work that great. For a TLR, YSS emulator valves and uprated linear fork springs, work far better and are less money. The YSS valves change the damper rod forks, to speed sensitive cartridge type damping, and are available for most damper rod type forks.
