I'd like to thank you very sincerely sir. As a 70 yr old retired model engineer and general nerd (but newbie to Fusion) I have learned more in the last week from your tutorials than I have in years up to now, THANK YOU. Kids and grandkids have bought me a 3D printer (on it's way) and your teachings will be invaluable. One quick question - why is your axis shown with "Y" up - am I missing something? Kind regards from Dublin Ruaidhri

That is awesome to hear Ruaidhri Murphy .Thank you for watching the videos. My only reason for "Y" is up, is that was the default since the day of CAD. Only reason I would ever change would be if I did a lot of 3D printing :-)

is the scale factor in % or by say 0.017" a set value

I am sure the answer is YES but anyhow I will make the question that mold can be 3D printed to be use for resin or silicone molds too right ?

Hi Tony Stadele Thank you for watching! YES! :-)

Hi Lars! I have another question about the parametrization. I'm trying to model a board with a set of electric connectors. The connectors are all of the same type but they can have 2, 3, 4 or more pins in a row. I've made the parametric model of the connector, so when I change the number of pins, the model changes. And here is my question. How to insert into the assembly several connectors with different numbers of pins? When I use "copy" and "paste" or "paste new", I get the exact copy which uses the same parameters and has the same dimensions. And when I use "Insert into current design" and then "Break link", I get a mess of user parameters with the same names, like Smth, Smth_1, Smth_2, and so on. Is it possible to sort the parameters, or show only the ones for the active component?

Hi Alex Antonov Thank you for watching! I might need more coffee. But, you might want to consider using these as sub assemblies? Not sure this is a good answer

Really like all of your videos and have learned a lot from them. Tried to follow this video for a phone case I'm making. My problem is, I can't create the cavity. First of all, the case has rounded edges like an iPhone, so the top and bottom part are further towards the center than the edge of the case. Because of this, I'm unsure on how to make the mould. The second problem is, the case has cutouts for the charging port, buttons, camera etc. so when I combine, the component only contains one body. Making it impossible to delete eg. the pipes. So, how would do it with the Lego block, if the pipes wasn't pipes but holes that went through the block and fillet walls?

Hi Umut Ucler Thank you for watching! Did you see this series? kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZnKnqqemcpkidE Hope this will help

Lars Christensen thank you. Found them after watching this video and I'm close to finish my mold, thanks to your videos

Why did you remove the pins from the core?
@cadcamstuff6 жыл бұрын
Hi Zoti Dazoti Thank you for watching! Normally they would be core pins and therefore a different components....Also, I am just trying to show the Fusion 360 tools :-) Not making correct parts

OK. Thanks. I was figuring out it is just for the demo as I have seen a video of the actual lego molds and the pins are part of the core.
