It's also what you can do in zone. Depends what team you get and what defense you'll be playing as well. It's great that's he physical because when you get that 50/50 ball, you better be more physical and ripping that ball or batting it away when you and the receiver go for that ball.
@jefferyroy25666 ай бұрын
With this kind of versatility, DeJean seems built for the pro game. Whatever he lacks at the moment could be corrected with coaching and working in a defense with an average pass rush, at least. I didn't hear the usually suggestion for white CBs: "Move him to safety." With the multi-option cover concepts (6 and 9) in vogue now, I'm glad our host did not revert to that cliche, then shoehorn Cooper into a Day 1 slot on that basis.

I'm posting this on like the third Cooper DeJean Video. It was bugging me because I KNEW I've seen someone who moved around exactly like him on a football field though maybe just not as fast, and I finally realized who I was thinking of. Champ Bailey. Quite a comp. Without Pete Carroll around, who had a massive aversion to drafting white defensive players (and the one he did draft hit him in the face with a football) - I hope the Hawks draft this guy, a great piece for Macdonald to mess around with.

Won’t NFL refs hit him hard with illegal contact with all that stuff he does beyond 5 yards?
@ThinkingFootball6 ай бұрын
The only thing more inconsistently called than illegal contact is offensive holding - he's gotta be wary at the catch point - because NFL refs are on that - but illegal contact can really vary ref to ref.
@IrishSwede6 ай бұрын
@@ThinkingFootball so basically don’t make enemies with the refs and do your best to be invisible and he will be fine
@ThinkingFootball6 ай бұрын
Sorta - it can just really vary crew by crew - teams keep files on how often each reffing group calls what flags and tells players to adjust how they play based on it. It's hard to kick habits - but the more you try get away with it -the less refs call it - I think that's called the Draymond Green effect.
