It is basa steak. After cooking several times, I figured out the best way to cook this fish. I found it very hard to eat fish in Canada. Bangladesh has the best taste of fishes, that I miss now.

As a Bangladeshi living in the US, I agree totally. I don’t know why but fish smells so bad here which never happened back home! Bangladesh indeed has the best fish and cuisine.

Always sprinkle some salt and lemon juice and leave for 15 minutes before giving it a good wash. Marinade with turmeric and chilli powder and give it a good fry(more than 2 minutes shown on the video, make it brown)... We call it "koravaja" in Bangla@@susanacruze9580 . You need to fall in love with fish slowly as growing taste for fish may take some time for non-fish eaters. You can avoid the skin initially or simply burn the skin off while frying if you find it smelly. There are other ways such as sprinkling some chopped coriander leaves or use couple of kaffir lime/lime leaves at the end of cooking. Turn the gas off and let the sweet smell of lime leaves do the rest. You can also squeeze some fresh lemon juice on top of the fish while eating. I hope that helps.
