You should patent that and make your own brand and it could be mass produced . I would definitely buy one of these beautiful instruments! Totally amazing!

This was so therapeutic and cathartic. I would imagine it lowered my blood pressure and I found myself shaking my head often at your skills and patience. Thank you Andy. This was a real treat to watch.
2 minutes in and I’m already amazed. I’m not shocked, because I’ve watched a lot of your work and have come to expect this level of work from you. I don’t think I’ve ever been less than amazed though.

Brilliant! The concept of an electric upright bass fascinates me, since in most cases you'd be putting an piezo mic on your acoustic upright bass anyway and plugging it in to the P.A. or a bass amp. But why do most upright basses have no design. Its just a stick with strings on. THIS on the other hand is what I'm looking for in an electric upright bass. Smaller than an acoustic upright, but still with a great design, and it sound fantastic!!!

This is an amazing concept for an Electric Bass. I would want this, but with the top/sides and maybe even back as Thin Stock Wood (rather than the bulky thick pieces used for electric instruments) so that it could be used as an Acoustic Bass with the wood actually vibrating and resonating to project the volume unplugged. How you manage to work with aluminum using a hack-saw is astounding. I spent five minutes trying to make aluminum hardware by hand and then just gave up and bought a Mini Mill from Harbor Freight...
You do have some skills sir. Very nicely done. Looks great sound great as well.

Pizzicato sounds really close to the real thing. Would like to hear it played arco tho. That's the real test of any replacement contrabass design.

Good afternoon. I see that you are a VERY good master. I would like to ask you for advice. We are talking about the fender plus neck. The washer, in which the truss rod spool rests, somehow broke off and went down the neck (along the anchor). The truss rod does not work. how to get the washer that the truss rod spool rests against.Thank you

If youd be so kind to share with us, What is the name of the saw or tool, size and material made of, you used at min 32, to cut the stainless steel plate? Also its truly inspiring to see such amount of detail, in my opinion all that metal is an added cost normal people cant afford. People are looking for cheap alternatives nowdays. Also the body of the guitar need to be more like a womans curves, and not waves. Cheers.

Whats the scale on that thing? Or how do you mark out the fret markers, and how about the radius? I wanna try making one of my own.
@Andybassguitar2 жыл бұрын
There is a website that can determine the fret position from the scale, so I use that. The radius is made by ignoring it. The difference in pitch due to changes in string height has a greater impact. I think it is just a guideline for contrabass.
