Great project. I remember my daughter making paper when she was younger and I was amazed at her skill. Great idea to get kids involved too. Hint: use a deep bowl to strain the paper, put plastic wrap on top of the strainer and weight it down with a can or anything heavy. I do that with homemade ricotta. Saves a lot of time. BTW, love the whimsical music!!

gosh, what a unique crafting / gardening idea! the new paper is so pretty and rustic. a person could use a small cylinder to "cookie cut" a hole in the shapes so that when they dry one could add a bit of jute string or ribbon to them, to make gift tags, and imagine those snow flake shaped ones on a rustic, natural Christmas tree or strung on a banner for a fire place mantel. a bit of food color blended into the drained pulp would be interesting. *oh! what a great crafting idea this is!!! thank you!*

This is a wonderful recycling idea and I've done some papermaking years ago. I work at a school where they throw a lot of paper away! So, I'm wondering if it is okay to use colored construction paper or should I just use white paper pieces?

All you need to do is just plant it in the ground as you would a normal seed the paper will decompose, and the seed will germinate
