Thank you for sharing this! I had 50 apps running. Some I know I haven’t used in several weeks. The odd thing is I’m pretty sure I had manually closed a lot of these apps, but they still showed up running. Closed all of them up using this app and my firestick is running waaaay better! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I had 13. I would usually force stop anyway then clear cache occasionally. But I like that the background app shows exactly which apps are open at any given time. So glad I found your channel I've learned so much in the 4 years of having the stick and continue to learn.

I usually open my apps from my Settings "Installed Apps" instead of from the Home screen on my Firestick. This way, when I'm done watching any content from an app, I just press back on my remote, and it goes back to the app. Then I clean the cache and click on Force Stop. This makes it much easier to keep tract of what apps you have used, and keeping them turned off when not in use.

I bought the fire cube. I absolutely love it. I was always running out of space. This seems to run better. It doesn't even buffer anymore. I have that app that coses them all. I always put it to sleep. Ihave 39 apps installed. My sister has a firestick but only watches KZbin tv and pluto. I have a cube in the living room and 27 apps on that one. I still empty the cache on all of them

Must be something unique to your household. I don't have either of these. Maybe you have a 3rd party alexa enabled smart home item that requires those for the firetv to access it. Again, something unique to your situation. I would need more information to help.

Yes, we have videos on the benefits of clearing cache. It doesn’t however speed up your stick (the purpose of this video) unless Ofcourse you have storage issues which we mentioned.

Educational. Does clearing the cache do anything?

Clearing cache as mentioned in our other videos will help with storage issues as it stores memory. But it actually will slow down your processing if you clear it (unless you are low on storage). Cache memory remembers past clicks and speeds everything up.

I have a question. I've been a long time user of Fire TV. I've gotten the sticks and the cubes and now I have the 4k max. I jail broke a few and noticed many of the Apps I was using especially Pluto was constantly freezing up then I would have to restart my fire stick and or cube. I'm now having the same trouble with the new 4K max and it's driving me insane. I have not jail broke this firestick. It feels like I'm spending 1/2 my life on trying to fix these things...can you please help?

The freezing issue can either be the source or your service/router/location. Signal strength is the most important. Have you watched our videos on that? I would start there. Click our channel name and have a nice watch fest. Should help you understand

If you are organized enough to do that, then Ofcourse you can do that. Most people don’t realize what apps they have active and this app is very helpful. Plus it’s one of the smallest apps out there. Really doesn’t take up much space

Statistically the Cube (but they have a new one coming out so I would wait). With the cube you have verbal control over your tv which is awesome. You can do that with the fire tv edition also. But watch storage closely. Only the 65 and larger Toshibas have sufficient storage or performance is poor.
