I use a 3-wood off the tee but hit off the mat with no tee at the range to improve striking

why would i practice the difficult shots if i cant even hit the easy shots? i never have a "hit at my hearts content" situation. yet

If you really can't hit the easy shots, then you're probably getting into your fair share of difficult situations, so that's why you practice those difficult ones. Heck, practice more and practice them all. 🤷🏽‍♂️🏌️‍♂️⛳️
