Would be interesting to see a tour of a co-packer to see how one works and maybe the process. Having an idea for a soda and going through the process to launch it, could probably be a super-limited edition of a AoD soda.

Same here. Would love to see that video.

@@ultra.chroma rather simple. Most co-packers work with flavor houses already. They can help you create your own line. You then simply pay for a run of it.

this video was uploaded at the perfect time for me... between your videos and book, and another cookbook i recently got... i've been experimenting with soda syrups... and i've seriously considered making it a small business... this is just more motivation. Thanks for that.

Great video as always! :D I've been inspired to create some sodas at a very small scale just for myself (using a glass straw as a pipette and a small - weight scale). Could you do a video on scales of manufacture, and if there's reasons/benefits for doing things at say 10ml scale, 1l scale, 1000l scale, etc? :)

Thanks and I'll add that to my list of videos. And I will be doing more on production scenarios in the future, once we have all the basics down.

Hey all I have the syrup for my drink perfected . Do I still need to go thru the commercial formulation? That is expensive and as a start up I want to avoid unnecessary costs. Can I skip the commercial formulation and go directly to co packer?

I get you don't want to do the hustle of making a business, because I'm in the same boat, I really enjoy my career. What I am curious about though, is what soda would you make if you did? Do you have a recipe you'd be willing to share that's like The O'Neil Special?

I'll be posting some soda recipes that I'd make in the future, I have about 6 that I plan on making videos about.

Don’t know why KZbin stopped giving me notifications, You do need some one to promote your channel, and a signature flavor to sell. Maybe a flavor chemistry set.

You're a genius! Thank you so much for sharing this information. So @artofdrink my question, using that preservative you made, does my product still need to go through pasteurization and sterilization process or not anymore?
@Artofdrink8 ай бұрын
Depends on your product. Preservatives only inhibit yeast and bacteria so if there is a higher number of yeast for example it won't work longterm.

Your videos are very informative. I have watched your flavor preps videos: I have a doubt, I want to prepare saffron essence from saffron EO. For religious reasons I cannot use EtOH and because of pinene and terpene cannot use propylene glycol and glycerin. I would need around 5ml of saffron water in 1000ml of beverage if I am going by using water as solvent. Water is not that effective here, hence looking for an alternative effective process. Your insights and suggestions will be helpful!

Unfortunately without alcohol your only other option is emulsification, and that topic is too complex for a KZbin comment.

I also love the small bottle size , such a beautiful bottle! Your channel is extremely under appreciated , a friend of mine showed it to me and i checked it out, one video made me bing watch all your videos. Thank you for the knowledge you provide to everyone.
