Sherry, I am grateful for your work; I've made several things for our church to sell at holiday craft fairs using your tutorials. They turned out beautifully. My goal is to make $250 for the church and the last two years, I've met my goal. It's thanks to you and your kindness. Peace, my friend.

Oh! I love this so much! I am a note book junkie! Even when I don't need them, I want to buy them when I see them. LOL! I think I have my dad to blame for that though. He was a pressman at a printing company and he would bring home the scrap pieces of paper and make note pads with them for us kids. Now I can't wait to make these! Thank you for another Awesome tutorial! 💙

What a very nice project. This would be a good one for me to make my grand children. They could then take it to church with them to keep them busy during the sermon. I would also like one to keep in my purse. TFS!!

Ms. Sherry, i just want to thank you for the content you bring to the table. I have learned so much about paper crafts and book making. My granddaughter graduated from college and asked me to make her a budget planner, i was in Walmart and found one, it was plain, so I decided to dress it up. Remembering what you've said about all the measurements for the chipboard and paper, i went at it. I actually used a piece of water proof shelf liner for the cover, easy to clean and protects the book in case of a spill. I even added a pocket on the inside. I wish i had taken a picture of it now, but I was so excited with the end results. Again thank you for taking the time and inviting us in to your wonderful world of crafting. ❤

So I have been contemplating on buying the New Thermal Cinch that makes book binding easy… well let me tell you that after watching video after video and all having some sort of issue with it I have decided, after watching this video I’m not going to spend my money else where and make my books using this tutorial… I thank you so very much for sharing this with us 🙂 I have been a subbie for a while but never commented until now… your awesome lady 🙂

Thank you so much! About 15 years ago, I had the predecessor to this “newest”gadget. What I had worked well but had serious limitations. So l decided to teach myself how to make books in any size that I wanted. I don’t know anything about the performance of the Thermal Cinch, but I do know that it has the same limitations as the machine I had many years ago. Those limitations are book size, book width and the need to buy pricey replenishment supplies. I am all for machines that allow us to do things we can’t otherwise do, but this is not one of those machines. I’m glad you chose not to buy it. Thanks for letting me ramble and HAVE A GREAT NIGHT😀

Can I ask a question please? I have tried to make booklets before and when I place my glue in the spine I usually let it dry overnight but when I open it the spine is separating on the inside from my paper. Is it because I am not putting enough glue, too much glue? I spread it out evenly. I do use the Reptile adhesive and make sure that all of my papers are even. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.. Thank you for any advice!
@ThePoshPaperLady8 ай бұрын
Hi Theresa, since I’m not able to see your process, everything I’m about to say is a guess. 1. Could your spine be too wide? 2. If your spine is not too wide, do you open the front and back flaps immediately after making the book to make sure all of the pages are stuck, and that the spine is intact? 3. If you are doing question 2, are your first and last pages stuck to the spine during your question 2 check? If they are, then you need to either unstick them or remove them. 4. If questions 2 and 3 are being done, and your spine is not too wide, my guess would be the amount of glue being used. At this point, try experimenting with glue usage. Hope this helps.
@theresajarratt96528 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for responding to me. I haven't opened the front and back right after gluing. And your description about pages being wrinkled is a sign of too much glue is something I have noticed with my finished project. I will work with both of those suggestions and try again. I know with more practice I will get it right. Thank you again for the advice, it's pointing me in the right direction. Have a great weekend!
