If you're EV Training Pokemon with the Power Items, you'll also want to make sure you're using a Level 100 Persian with Payday and the Amulet Coin for the actual attacking. Just have the other Pokemon to be trained in your party. You'll get about 26,000 or so once you finished maxing a single stat, 52,000 once you've maxed two stats, or a little more than that for all EVs. You should do this (if you weren't already) because you're making money instead of spending it for the Vitamins. It'll free up the time and cash you need to train one or more Pokemon with just Vitamins for 7-Star Tera Raids in the very least.

If you're gonna max your HP EVs, I just like to do all my EV training with Chansey east of the Team Star Fairy base. Simply give the Power Item of the other stat to your Pokémon, make and eat a Ham sandwhich and start knocking out Chanseys, you'll gain 8 EVs of the Power Item stat and 2 HP EVs. Do all of the other stats and finish with HP, you'll gain quite a bit of XP as well.

I use the picnic method all the time to farm ev berries near Levincia while breeding pokemon. The pokemon center at East Province Area 2 has a small hill to the east with a rock on it, and near the rock are always two berries on the ground. As long as you picnic between the two, you can farm both as you collect eggs.

Why would you put all that effort into raising a Chi-Yu? The tournament pokemon are all fixed level and all below 72. You can literally bring any competent Level 100 pokemon with no particular EV or IV investment and stream roll through the whole thing with ease. Use Annihilape with Shadow Claw/Rage Fist and Drain Punch/Close Combat and you'll have perfect coverage so you can OHKO almost anything.
