been here 20 years . it's so depressed economically and still without tourists that locals here are struggling . apart from teaching English I can't see any work opportunity and most of those are Filipinos

Filipinos have destroyed the industry for us native speakers here in Thailand. Thanks to them we have low ball salaries and schools prefer to hire them over us.

I have 8 years experience in teaching comouters, kife skills and was a turor for Adult Basic Education. I also specialize in database structire, design and maintenace. I worked for a company as a building supervisor, drove trucks and did logostics for miving 6 million pounds of food a year. My monthy income is 1000 dollars in america from Retirement, im 55. I own my home. Maybe I'll rent it out my 4 bedroom home.
