I have the 2.8 same engine but smaller displacement doing mine this weekend thanks for the video . Also I think the engine will be cleaner internally after this mod as more of the blow by will go through Pcv instead of slugging up the engine

Oh yeah for sure it'll definitely have a good blow by actually it's so funny I just did I just made a video updating that same PCV valve that I'm going to be posting very soon so stay tuned it's not very long I was just doing an oil change but I also check the PCV valve just to see if it was clean I re-cleaned it and put it back in so it's just check it out

I have an 07 CTS with a 3.6 engine in it. Should I assume that needs done to this one also although it’s not an STS?

It doesn't matter a 3.6 is a 3.6 where there's an STS or a CTS is still works and operates the same so the motor don't care what model you have but I mean you don't really have to do it but it helps it helps breed helps make your car breathe on that side I actually saw a video where a guy has had showed when he tore it apart trying to do the timing chain that whole entire side was completely burnt from all the burnt oil and he said it was dude to the excess of crankcase pressure and he was saying that that valve needs to be open more so that way it doesn't burn more oil on the passenger side motor than the driver side motor it was really interesting seeing the video on it

I wonder if you could put breathers on the valve covers and just block the hoses off

That may work with older vehicles like muscle cars or some 80s vehicles. But now these vehicles are different. Those hoses coming off the valve cover going into the intake manifold and the throttle body are putting those oil and gas fumes and allowing the car to burn off those fumes thru the engine instead of putting them in the atmosphere.

Hi. I have a STS 3.6 LY7. I have done this modification but now i have a little blue smoke from my mufflers after I start my engine after a whole night. Additionaly I think end of mufflers are dirty-black. Could I have broken something? I haven’t seen this kind of problems before modification😔

It's strange that modification wouldn't have done anything but just help a breathe a lot better with the crankcase of the of the oil of the oil Vapors so I don't understand how that would have broken something.
