When I wad growing up my next door neighbor sold Hastings stuff. He was a salesman that went to auto parts stores and such. I used to have a huge roll of stickers that said Hastings on them. I wish I had that huge roll of them as they are probably worth a bunch of money now.

Being from England I love watching the difference in places...we don't have all these sales! You may occasionally see a garage sale but they are very scarc, We don't have estate sales, we do have car boot sales which start around Easter and end around September...then I see your sunny weather, now we need some of that soon as it's been such a cold winter ..today around 4 degrees so it needs to warm up some..I love your accent you sound like Elvis Presley....I'm assuming you are from his area ..one day I long to visit Graceland and the areas where Elvis grew up ..I grew up watching Elvis as my parents loved him ..I was a 70s baby born 79 so elvis had passed away but he was a big part of my life as he was always being played and talked about..so I grew to love him! He was such a beautiful human..❤

i always wonder if you ever felt someone was desperate selling their things just to eat and you bought something dirt cheap and knew it was worth a fortune ? I could never live with myself once a friend gave me a old outdoor patio set ,I walked into a antique shop and there was my free set for $6000 I had to tell my friend and ask if she wanted it back she said thank you for being honest she knew it was valuable but she did not want to deal with it ,I just wonder if resellers ever felt bad giving next to nothing knowing the item was worth alot .

Hi there, I am subscribed to your channel, I watch a lot of your video's. Really enjoy them. I see you have some sort of app on your phone so you can see the value of a item. Would you mind tell me the name of it. I don't belong to Ebay so maybe it won't work with out it. I am not a seller just curious about the app. Cheers from New Zealand. Jennifer.

Every time I see the baseball caps I cringe at the collection I left behind. I went to a red socks game and bought a Boston hat. Then for dinner went to the first TGIF restaurant. I offered to buy a waiter's hat but he said "I'll trade ya". I was so excited. There was a story with every hat, just about. I would have loved to have sold the hats with their stories behind them.

I had to giggle a bit at the vintage dusty old bunny. It amazes me what people collect and what they will pay. Is there a reason you pay as you go? I usually make a pile and pay for everything at once. I notice you ask the amount of an item and pay them right away. Just wondering if there's a reason you do it that way.
@HAUNTED-DOLL Жыл бұрын
I can't answer for Kevin, but the reason I pay as I go is so the seller doesn't have an opportunity to change their mind or the price. I've lost a couple great items before by having them in my pile and someone came along and tried to take them. When the seller told them they were spoken for, they offered more than the price they'd agreed upon with me, so the seller let them buy them. It's just easier to pay as you go, so situations like that don't happen.
@LifeOrdinary87 Жыл бұрын
@@HAUNTED-DOLL I do the same. I also do it cause I'll have too much stuff 😅 and I'll pay, put it in the car, and come back.
@CommonwealthPicker Жыл бұрын
multiple reasons. Here are three. I like to get an idea of how much things are before I make piles. They often will give you better deals if you have already bought things. (Ice Breaker) Transactions on videos are good for views as well as the ability to make many shorter cuts about specific items and sales when doing shorts for other platforms like IG or FB or Garage Sale nation videos.

While everyone appreciates your knowledge about what things are worth, If you’re going to talk that loudly about how much you’re going to make, at least walk away from the guy’s tables that you just got a great deal at. I feel bad for the guy who just sold you that stuff listening to you talk about how much you’re going to sell it all for and saying you’re not making that much. Making $100 is pretty good and $5 for some hats is a pretty good deal. JMO
