@sheilacaron28312 жыл бұрын
I have seen this before, they went too fast but, I plan on making some with craft rope ( basically I twist long cloth pieces, like edges of when you straighten up when you trim fabric before you cut your pieces) into a rope.

And what's the purpose of the bowls? I had somebody give me a couple nesting bowls with a crocheted and I don't have a clue what to use them for I don't have room for a bunch of stuff to just sit around and collect dust things need to have a purpose. Maybe you can help me with that
@suehudson77772 жыл бұрын
I use them for my most frequently used jewelry to corral a lot of little pieces. I have 2 in my sewing drawer to catch little odds and ends for sewing, like needle threaders, machine feet, thimbles, etc.... But I had bought those in the past. Great to know how to make them now and use up my fabric stash bits and pieces. (Wind the fabric around the rope to give it color.) Makes for interesting looking bowls. I also have a hot pot trivet given to me many years ago with a slightly thicker rope. Used so long and so much it is now burnt a little brown around the edges. will be replacing it. And BTW, these are much more sturdy than a crocheted bowl. As always a very interesting video. Love to watch all of them.

Help! I really want to make one but my bobbin thread keeps getting tangled. What am I doing wrong please?
@melindaostergren81152 жыл бұрын
Is it the same weight as your top thread? Check your owner’s manual for tips, or go online with your question When you begin do you pull your top and bobbin thread to the back and hold them down when you begin a seam? Is there lint in the bobbin area? Have you tried rethreading your machine? Changed your needle? These are just a few ideas that might help you. With my Bernina I always start by rethreading the machine. Usually that fixes the problem. Next, I change the needle if there’s still a problem. Then I reseat the bobbin. I also have a can of compressed air and have finally trained myself to clean the lint after a project. Good luck!
@naomimoore24392 жыл бұрын
@@melindaostergren8115 thank you, it is the same thread. On numerous cutting and pulling out tangles, it seems it actually is the top thread. I will get a few lovely stitches (am using a leather needle) and then it jams again....
