I use my ford credit card for gas, i usually have enough points by the time I take it to ford and pay little to nothing on my oil changes haha. Anyways, great video man! It's the little things that make things easier.

I didn’t know Ford had credit cards!! 🤯 but That’s a good deal! lol maybe I should look into that credit card. Thanks for watching bro!!

2019 F150 with 3.5 this is a MUST. Flip the lever, let it drain a while, close the valve.

Right! Makes life so much easier! I’m actually looking forward to changing the oil next time!! 😂 thanks for the comment!!

What material is this made of? If its brass will it not corrode against the steel?
@MeAndCarKeys4 ай бұрын
I looked on the website , the body is forged brass, handle and spring are stainless steel. Hopefully with that setup, it won’t corrode. I’ll keep an eye on it

@@MeAndCarKeys I trust they're okay. They've been around a long time. My thinking was if the oil pan is aluminum or steel, they are more anodic than brass so the pan would have the potential to corrode. This is why drain plug sometimes has a copper washer. I only mentioned this because a friend decided to put some fancy aluminum tire caps on his truck and the valve stem threads were brass. They corroded together and I had to cut them off for him using a dremel so he could air up his tires lol.

Idk if I trust it lol, but I do like the idea of it, you should check out the bullet point mounting solution mounts, I’ve had mine for 2 years and is flawless especially since you vlog in your truck solid unit, bolts in the cubby on the dash

lol I felt the same way at first but it seems to be a good durable product. 🤔 Thanks for the suggestion; I’ve seen bullet point products before. That would be perfect instead of holding the camera trying to vlog and drive at the same time! lol thanks again! #motivationcrew

😂 I know… I’m not sure how I’ve never seen these before! It’s definitely a life saver for oil changes. Thanks for the comment! 👍

honestly it would not be completely out of the question that the oil change place that changed your oil the last time keeps motorcraft filters in stock because a lot of times on newer vehicles that could cause a warranty issue if OEM motorcraft parts are not used. but i would DEFINITELY guess they probably did not change it
@MeAndCarKeys6 ай бұрын
That’s probably true too, but I remember the odd nonchalant customer service last time I was there…I’m almost certain that they didn’t change it. Someone else gave the suggestion to mark the filter next time so that I would know for sure, but I’m back to doing it all myself again! Thanks for the comment!
@christopherpfleegor44476 ай бұрын
@MeAndCarKeys it's been my experience it's usually cheaper to do it yourself. Around where I live the oil change places only include 4 or 5 quarts of oil for their change, so when your vehicle takes more than that they charge extra for the extra oil. And most places try to charge $15 or $20 per quart

Nice project, looks like a decent product. Only other brand I’ve seen is a company called Ronin. Theirs has a removable hose fitting with a cool looking aluminum cap that replaces it. It’s expensive on Amazon though, around 60 bucks. Might want to start putting a mark or a date on your filter so you can tell if it’s been changed. I don’t like those quick change places, they are shady.

My man Jimmy always with the good advice!! I don’t know why I didn’t think to mark the filter before I go… but I agree, I won’t be back to any quick oil change places! Had issues with my wife’s car too at the same location. I looked up the Ronin, I had to watch a video to understand it, but it’s a cool design! Thanks for the comment as always bro! #motivationcrew

@@MeAndCarKeys tbh you should always put the date and mileage on the filter so you know for sure at a quick glance when it was changed
@richardleswing29516 ай бұрын
They didn't change the oil filter!
@MeAndCarKeys6 ай бұрын
They didn’t change it! So I’ve been riding around for 10k miles on the same filter! 😒 I blame myself for not checking BUT I blame them for not changing the filter. I just wish I could prove it 🤔
@BigDipper796 ай бұрын
That high mileage oil will make your spark plug tube gasket swell and eventually leak. Just fyi.
@MeAndCarKeys6 ай бұрын
😮 huh?! Why do you say that? Are you speaking from a bad experience? I’ve never heard of this. Thanks for the comment!
