Hi, Here is a tip you probably already know, but if you don’t, it could help you with your training. 30% volume is all you need to maintain strength and explosives if you keep the intensity relatively similar. E.g. If you squat 80kg * 8 * 3 per session during offseason You only need 80kg * 8 per session when competing. This will keep the strength and explosiveness that you gained during offseason while limiting your fatigue and chance of injury.

Your journey for the tour at +30 is inspiring. My journey is very similar. I put the racket down for about 6 years. Now I am 31. On a quest to UTR 9 so I can look at myself in the mirror and tell myself that I didn't peak in high school. Lol. God bless 🙌

7:20 "Be more deliberate about what is on my screens." I LOVE THAT! I believe I am/become what I focus on, there are a gazillion things vying for my attention, I want to choose wisely and with intent. The reason I love this channel is because you talk in depth about how you think about the game and the game of life.

I love the fact that you are still going strong in 2025. I find a lot of inspiration in your videos. Your videos make me wanna push to become the best version of myself on and off the court, even as I approach 40. You have some very clear goals for 2025. That's great, and there as someone years said to me 'Somebody has to do it , so why not you'. At the end of the day it's all about psychology. psychology is one aspect of someone's overall performance that is very dynamic. Way to many sports people and team focus on the mindfulness side of psychology ( which is very important) but it's actually what I call the war-psychology that most players especially the one's trying to climb the ranking ladder or as you just said play slams. This is how you train the brain to become a real pressure king allowing for fast clear thinking under pressure where a players technique holds up. Here's the thing that most people don't understand and that is the brain likes winning and it doesn't care what the win is. That mean players and athletes can actually set goals that they are sure to win (easy to start with building up the level over time) and as long as they tell their brain this is a goal and say when its won, then you actually start building up the winning desire. But even more importantly it build a high level of resilience to failure. The higher a person's resilience to failure on the tennis court for example the higher there chances of winning. I think you will break into the top 200, but why stop there...

Thanks for taking us along for the ride - we're all rooting for you. Curious about how your outcome goals and plan distill down to process goals during a match. Like, what's your mini-goal during specific matches that you try to accomplish? And, do you run stats on your recorded matches? Looking forward to hearing about your serve mechanics - and what a cool thing to take a pitching workshop, smart man.
