Alternative of null object can be 1) Grouping the layers. 2) Pulse size effect. Concept of overlapping keyframes is still same & you won't get the benifit of moving pivot point to make these transition.

Don't use nulls for simple shakes like these. Your device will lag for no reason. Rather use pulse size, it's smooth and also doesn't make the project messy.

1) This isn't a shake tutorial 2) Device will lag only for mid to low end device users. 3) Nulls are better for adding transition as you don't have to open effects of every layer then find the effect among 4-5 pulse size effect and what not + Pivot point makes life easy.

We can also add exposure and gamma then increase the exposer at every split and add keyframes so we can get a flash effect at the transitions. 😀👍

your explanation is very good but i think you overcomplicated lots of thing, daddy style should be the most simple style of amv therefore you don't really need to use null effect but by using null it can make your edits much smoother but for beginners this video is to complicated

Yes may be you are right, But are there any simpler way of doing daddy style ? I know one method that is by using pulse size effect which is basically a more complicated way of doing this. And also if you use the 3 keyframe method , the results aren't that good , it is good for edgy style.
