Thank you isn’t enough for your videos! I’ve always loved Reason and it’s workflow but my drum programming skills are certainly not where I want them to be. I’m a fusion guitar player for the last 46 years and this video just completely opened up an understanding I was so missing with this software. I’m old school so thank you for restoring my faith in the convenience of digital recording 😊

@@blackpranther I'd love to see an e kit video too! From what I see so far there's great potential for even cheap kits to sound good when using quality samples. I could save a good chunk of money if I could just upgrade Reason rather than buying 'superior drummer 3' software. I just have no videos showing me it works!

Would This Be A Good Buy The Reason Drum Kit??
@blackpranther4 жыл бұрын
Devin Sambo I’ve gotten more than my moneys worth out of the original plug and I bought years ago, but I believe it comes free with certain versions of reason so if you’d like this plug-in enough to buy it separately you might want to consider just buying the whole software

How are you Samuel,,,,your videos are awesome,,,,you have a very clear explanation in all of the video,,,,Let me ask you Samuel,,,,,can I make my own mapping on REASON DRUM KITS,,,,,it already has a built in mapped,,,but I mean I want to make my own mapping ??
@blackpranther5 жыл бұрын
Sorry if I didn’t answer that question for you completely before. In this new form factor I’m not exactly sure how you could map your own drums however I definitely was able to do it with reason drum kits using individual NNXT’s with the original version. I might actually do a video separately on just that, I just need to do a little more research with the new version to make sure there’s not a way to do it within the rack extension.

Reason Suite is like $600 smackers. Doesnt it have a dark mode?
@blackpranther3 жыл бұрын
HiddenPalm i’ve never used it, but I know they have multiple color modes in the most recent versions. $600 seems like a lot until you consider what it would cost to get all those plug-ins individually to have the same capability (Auto tune, Mastering Suite, Soft Synths etc. ) It’s definitely not cheap but still a good value especially if you haven’t already bought all of those plugins separately ✊🏾
@HiddenPalm3 жыл бұрын
@@blackpranther I know its a powerful DAW, and probably the best looking in the game, up there with Waves Audio. But a mere simple feature like darkmode allows one to break night and work hours with those cool tools you bring up. Otherwise you would just have to settle working with its VST plugins in other DAWs outside of the Reason main user interface. I have the demo and couldnt find dark mode that night I downloaded the demo version. But I have since found it. Click on Edit tab, the prefrences, then general tab and go to "themes". They have the blue or dark theme. FYI: $600 is still expensive. Especially during the pandemic where most of us havent worked all year. The individual racks selling for close to $100 are expensive. If it was a life time purchase, it would be different or atleast a ten year purchase. But they are now charging over $200 for upgrades. The yearly upgrade costs are just over the top. So you pay $600 for access to everything, just to feel like your purchase is now outdated because a new version is out. Granted the older version is still very powerful, but after seeing reviews of all the new features, you begin to feel the pain as a struggling artist in your heart, remembering the sacrifice you made to pay $600. It's scary, because you need to ask before you make such a huge investment, is there a new version coming out soon? Should I instead wait for the new version? Or should I give them $600 now? What if I buy it now and the new version comes out next month? What then? What if you wait and you get used to another DAW like FL Studio or Waves Audio and then the new version comes out and you buy it, but realize the differences between the new version and the old version werent that major and you waited for nothing but then you barely use it because youre now accustomed to something else? If youre going to buy the most expensive DAW on the market, one has to consider all of these questions. The main one being, are you going to use it?

We all known that most of the drummers have 4 limbs but it easy to forget when you start programming drums. Also Human drummer never hit with same volume in a row and never 100% perfect to grid. Use it as general rule and you will be fine.
