You should set up 3 of these and combine it with your rope making machine for plastic rope twine. You could test how much weight it could hold vs. the other ropes you've made.
@rohman27 жыл бұрын
For both rope making and other potential applications, it seems like it would be really handy to join lengths of the string together. I wonder if a heat weld could be done to fuse them end-to-end similar to the way a band saw blade is welded. If the weld were smooth, even more applications might take advantage of this string plastic. Thanks for the idea and instruction.
@dwaynerobertson3835 жыл бұрын
Wow. My condolences. I just saw this video and subscribed; started scrolling through the comments and...my sincere condolences. I hope this comment is useful - when lashing branches together with this material, you can shrink wrap it with heat to constrict the branches together, real tight. The integrity it gives to the joining/overlapping framework of branches of your shelter is extremely strong. Substitute this for paracord (or string), and heat it. It will shrink tight, no complicated knots to deal with, contour forming. Done. Two pieces become one; two branches married together. Pretty much permanent integrity. I hope this is helpful.

You'll need a sharper blade but it would not be rope it would be banding and banding has alot of high tensile strength uses.Its not going to be as pliable but it would definitely open some options in fact you might even be able to fashion a thin pocket saw by cutting small teeth into a strand of aluminum and wrapping each end around a stick or even through a stick to make toggles then just use it as a really bendy blade saw. You could also fashion keys and a number of other objects.
