this was an excellent video .i have been blowing out mine the old school way when i got light headed ,i was careful not to get egg on my mouth,now i am keeping them whole ,i hope to do some. i got tye dye from tulip,it came with 18 colors,wish me luck,thank you

We used to do dyed eggs when we were growing up, and our mother taught us to use a darning needle to make the hole in the end. I don’t think she ever broke the egg, and I don’t think any of us did either.

That's awesome. If you have a steady hand, that can work great. I sometimes use the tip of a pocket knife to tap out a hold. I'll have to try a darning needle now.

@@thehoneycompany : It was a fairly big and sharp needle that we used to make the holes in the ends. Once the hole was made, we could stick the needle a nice ways into the egg, and break up the yolk some. Then we could blow in one in the egg and The scrambled up egg would Exit the shell into a bowl underneath the egg from the other end. Then it was just a matter of rinsing of the egg. It’s funny that when you’re a kid doing things like that, you don’t think about sticking your mouth on raw egg, and Salmonella risk. I’d think twice about it now though.
