It might seem that they were lazy building docks, but you could not build docks next to the spawning location for some reason, I'm red btw.

I did record one but it's too hard to follow what's going on and the video was so long because it had to go slow that I think it wouldn't be interesting so I didn't upload it. As for guides, I'm not really the best player to teach you this - maybe if I see a good wonder rush I will analyse somebody else's performance and upload.
