The Indian grocery in San Francisco has finally started carrying Alphonso. For a ridiculous price of $100 for a box of dozen, exorbitant to say the least! But, they have been flying off the shelves. I think we all are buying it out of pure nostalgia. I will try ur recipe with chilly pwd, nice desi twist. Thank you for sharing:-)

Crazy, right. Here it is about 1400 rupees per dozen(17 dollars/dozen). But expensive for indian conditions.

Which store is selling Alphonso? A store in the city or some other Bay Area city?
