Another good video Milo. As a senior with back problems, this is something you worked on with me at my last lesson. Looking forward to another lesson next week.

Thanks. Whenever I use perpetual motion with my legs to start the ‘heavy’ club going back it’s always a good backswing into the correct position for me. My problem is thinking too much about the ‘slot’. There’s never enough time in a quarter second to drop that mass and then hit. I’m obviously hitting from the top. Plus my knees don’t want to bend like yours on the downswing 😅

Interesting. Jon Rahm lays his club down in his back swing. Morikawa is more upright. Rory is kind of in between those two with his back swing flatter. Finau is kind of steep. Homa is pretty much on plane and not steep or laid off through his whole swing. Rickie Fowler is much like Rory. Scottie Scheffler gets steeper towards the top of his back swing. Schauffele appears to swing close to on plane without much steepening or flattening. Guess there's more than one way to skin a cat. After watching the AT&T Pebblebeach this past weekend and struggling with this concept of light to heavy, I began thinking about my back swing. I've always had a very flat back swing. I noticed Ryan Moore has a very upright back swing, but he lays the shaft down in transition with rotation and hand/wrist combination. I'm working on this movement and so far I really like it! Hitting sand wedges outside in the cold Indiana 40 degree air yesterday, I was consistently carrying the ball 70 - 75 yards. I'm 72 years old and felt like this move may help me.

Proper float of the club at the top took my drives from 240 to 310 consistenty. its how to truly build club head speed and smash facter/power.

I can feel the weight being in the wrong place in a practice swing and therefore switch to a better backswing, but when I actually go to a real swing I don't notice the weight so can regress to a bad backswing. One thing that seems to be effective is to move the hands back leaving the club head behind initially. Then in transition I can feel the right wrist flexing back as it should, and it all feels a bit more 'flowy'. And I am sure I have seen hints of this in Hogans swing.

Worked for Hogan. Perhaps a little push down on the handle could help. Here is a video on this topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmbYXmODYriSZtU

dear andrew, give complete attention to every detail of your setup and stop thinking of hitting the ball. Focus on feeling the float (youtube search on float loading the club)

So at the top should the club feel light and the arms/hands feel tension free? Given this demonstration, theoretically, it should but that spot is different for each person, and for that matter, each club, yes?

Hi Milo, Great video when I feel the club head light and sling it back ( like your doing with senior golfers) feels like a I get the club deeper and it hinges and cocks my wrist more does that make sense to you. Thank you

What tips do you have for someone who gets the face way open when they feel they are shallowing in the downswing?
@MiloLinesGolf Жыл бұрын
You are probably dishing it out versus using right wrist extension and maintaining the face, but I'd have to see it. Have you looked into my online academy - milolinesgolf.com? Perhaps this video could help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpu5kKVpj7aAapo

I always felt when a club felt light before a round . I would play terrible. That feeling heavy feel is such a vital feel for every club in the bag. Even the putter Why extremely strong physically individuals are always over the top hit hard golfers. They can never feel that club during the motion

Being able to feel the clubhead is something many of the greats have talked about, and why so many of them have adjusted swing weights throughout their careers, and messed around with lead tape.

Also if you trigger the take away with a weight shift the club feels much lighter and moves much faster
