After following the whole metalcore scene from 18 to now 34…I can say MTS is the one that always stood out from the crowded scene that’s been done over and over again. There’s so much sadness and bleakness in a lot of the lyrical content, but it just hits so hard and uncomfortably relatable. I feel bad for people who here anything remotely aggressive sounding and miss out on a whole ass experience that actually hits. I’ve always thought the best music comes from a place of pain and torment, which sucks, but at the end of the day it’s the relatability that resonates and hits hard with listeners.
@TechNMusic Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but there are tons of bands that didn't last even though they sounded (objectively) better than most other bands. Like: This or the Apocalypse -or- Carcer City Those bands had nuance too, it wasn't all just doom and gloom. That's the biggest thing that holds emo/screamo/metalcore back: the overwhelming amount of bands that just whine about how hard life is or how sh*tty people can be.

I love their heavier side as much as everyone else, and I'll probably get some shit for saying this, but I've always felt they've been in their element when they take advantage of their melodies and especially her clean vocals that contrast so well with his. Very In Dying Arms-esque in style. I hope they progress into this sound in the same Saviour has with Shontay on their last two albums.
