"Hi everyone, the USA and Australian preorder for our album is now live. I felt obliged to personally submit this post to reddit because we can see we have a lot of followers on here. There are some disclaimers. Since its premiere on Australian mainstream radio, there were a few (not many) comments going by people concluding that this was to be our sound. Fireworks is not a representation of the sound on the rest of the World’s Apart album. The brutal and frostbitten sound in which MTS made their debut may return on a future album, this one however will be a closer representation to our own musical tastes. To describe it in five words Worlds Apart is - energetic, eccentric, ecstatic and euphoric and eclectic. We hope you like it and do the good deed by preordering the album. Enjoy! xx" From Nick, a MTS guitarist.

To anyone complaining about the difference in tone, and missing the "Neverbloom" days: Stop it. Make Them Suffer is one of few bands who has come into the scene running, maintained momentum, and remained refreshingly different. Yes, Lords of Woe and Neverbloom absolutely caught my attention, but I've not since lost interest with the release of Old Souls or these two newer tracks. Their older stuff was obviously a product of misery, Sean, or someone in that band, was suffering to a significant degree and used it as a muse to creative some of the best music out there in my opinion. Though obviously that time has passed, and he, or they, are in a better place now. Both this track and Ether reflect a very respectful maturing of Make Them Suffer where they've not compromised themselves in any way. They're still technical and melodic, they're still heavy, and Sean still delivers phenomenal vocals. So knock it off. Let this unfold as they intended. And let's all enjoy what promises to be another great MTS album next month with when "Worlds Apart" drops. :)

So proud of you guys, I've been there since your EP Launch at YMCA HQ, I've been at most of your shows, and in these recent songs you show the ability, to produce aggressive and angry sounds with Neverbloom, then transfer into the world of harmony and melodic music, to me that shows pure talent as musicians to progress, and leave the scene behind. Good on you guys!

The best kind of progression I've seen from a band in a very long time. MightyGodlikeG thanks you someone that isn't complaining about the new sound people need to face the facts that bands change after awhile they get tired of doing the same shit over and over again just because it's new and different from they're previous work I admit yes it's weird to hear the new style but I love this just as much maybe even more then the old sound I already like bands with the atmospheric sound so it's easy for me to get into this no problem people just don't understand if they were in a band they would understand how tiring they would get making the same material over and over again

Such an interesting band striking music video. Beautifully made. Looks like a prologue to old souls. The boy is the lord of woe. Or it could be the new pianists/bassists completely different concept. SAIYANLINEAGE \\\\\\\ Nice observations! I heard this album is separate from Lord of Woe although still story based.
I remember that you were as much into NVBM that I was, what do you think about this? Since every single that came out after NVBM (except for requiem) took me a while to like but even know I still don"t really dig Ether and this is kinda weak to me. I mean the "emotionnal parts seem too forced ans there aren't any insane riffs. For instance Elegies is their most emotional song to me, especially the chorus. Hope they get back to something true to their name in the next next album as they hinted on Reddit

Personal opinion alert - I prefer Neverbloom. One of the last metalcore/deathcore/whatevercore albums that I've enjoyed, so I'm a bit saddened to see their sound has gotten much softer. Lots of chords, less technicality...meh. I hope they go back to their old sound one day, not that this is terrible but when you start your "fame" off as something and decide to change sounds, this sort of reaction should be expected.

Pretty disappointed with this song, although I can't say I didn't see this coming. But for real, music like this does Sean Harmanis absolutely zero justice. Dude has the vocal ability and range to lead any of today's premiere death core bands but it carries so much less with this genre. I've never described music as "beautiful" until I found Make Them Suffer

THIS IS WEAK. Sucks compared to the likes of widower. Old souls was good, but this is vocally and instrumentally worse in every aspect. stop selling out.

Jack Pennington this isn't even close to selling out but okay... this is the best MTS has ever sounded

it's ok, fella's. I understand that you don't have a particularly good taste in music and will like whatever the artist puts out. It's ok 👌

Jack Pennington Good music isn't restricted to being brutal all the time. What's wrong with being melodic?
@jackpennington3287 жыл бұрын
Patrick Weber I like melody. I enjoy the melodic parts is widower and throughout the softer songs of "old souls"... this however, had a tuneless disjointed boring breakdown, a bland riff throughout, weaker vocals, exceedingly repetitive... nothing good as far as I can see.
