Your comment is basically the reason they signed with Rise. They now have greater reach being singed with a bigger US label. I still believe they're signed to their other label in AUS tho. Think of this as the same shit Enter Shikari did with Hopeless(?) they only signed for distribution purposes.

Absolutely the most peaceful video you've ever made besides Elegies and Neverbloom. The piano is perfect. Guitars sound off a little. The mix is entirely different from Old souls. I do hope there is at least a few super heavy songs on this next installment. The Well 2 or something other. Weeping wastelands 2. It'd be impossible to throw out your old fans and gain twice as more somewhere else, right? But hey, this does not mean this song is absolutely remarkable, I'm just a little scared. It sounds awesome, just please, don't let yourself die out like all the rest. You've better gift than that. Better heart. Imagine releasing another Neverbloom, would you blow up? Would you die? Or can you already see a different road than us? Guys the song is absolutely beautiful. It's great. Really. Keep doin it if it's what you feel.

I have such a connection to this song that has never been matched by anything for me. I first heard it when I was falling asleep listening to music and when I woke up I thought I had dreamt it. I spent the whole next day searching for it. The thing I specifically remembered was the breakdown and I remember how beautiful and dreamy it was, but also how heavy and hard hitting it was and it just made me want to cry. I believe that if there is anything supernatural, or spiritual, music is the gateway to it. I've always had such a strong place in my heart for music and nothing can ever match it.

To anyone who still doesn't get it, if your not familiar too well with MTS and their music, they write concept album or tell stories in their albums, lord of woe and neverbloom were so brutal because it was in the voice of the lord of woe: anger, aggression, hate, and misery. They were like that because of that specific character, however when old souls came along, the lord of woe was not forgotten but just wasn't the main character anymore there for the mood and story takes a different approach, same thing with time/occasion so like their stories they are moving forward using a different sound to set the mood for the story, lord of woe and neverbloom= aggressive tempered story, old souls= emotional, if you look at the lyrics and stuff they are definitely using more emotions too
@Back08 жыл бұрын
At least someone around is going deeper into exploring the lyrics like me. Thanks dude
@jacobgonzales49798 жыл бұрын
I kind of think it might have to do with Japanese mythology, because the lyrics involve a Japanese mythological God. Idk just a hunch I have
@Back08 жыл бұрын
+jacob gonzales Izanami and Izanagi are the parents of the gods in this mytchology as far as I checked. Izanami lives in hell and Izanagi in heaven (shit happened and thats how it is now). I really hope its based on Japanese mytchology :D
@anoceanbetweenus898 жыл бұрын
+Vasil Vasilev first time listener of this band here. They are Japanese mythological gods who are a couple. Izanami died and went to hell. Izanagi stayed on earth and tried to bring izanami back from hell but failed. He has continued to try and bring her back. Hence the lyrics are izanami take me and izanagi take me home. They appear to be metaphors for death and life. Imo this song is about taking life as it is and accepting the cycle of life but also being mindful of death. It's quite beautiful in all honesty.

There's nothing left of you So when I left the loop, What were you trying to prove? You're skin and bones crumbling But now the cloud are parting With blue skies and endless heights, So just fill your lungs and breathe Slow it down, just wait Take some time to question life While you're young and learning Take it slow, just stay I know it's hard but moving fast, You're going to miss the journey Death embrace me, Izanami take me Life embrace me, Izanagi take me home Take me home The earth is coming to life again With blue skies and endless heights, So face east to the sunrise This is my resting place, inside my mind You know it's fine to take your time, So just fill your lungs and breathe Slow it down, just wait Take some time to question life While you're young and learning Take it slow, just stay I know it's hard but moving fast, You're going to miss the journey Death embrace me, Izanami take me Life embrace me, Izanagi take me home You're skin and bones and crumbling Just know your clock is ticking, It's moving so fast, And all the clouds are parting, It's beaming with light, So take my hand and trust me, Because we are going to see the sunrise If it's the last thing we do tonight

okay you know how classical orchestraic music uses sounds to convey emotional feelings? the instrumentals here do this like crazy. there is immense FEELING in the sound alone, not just in the lyrics.

Meu, essa música... Sem reação, sem reação que possa descrever meus delírios quando a ouço. É lindo e sombrio.

Izanagi and Izanami reference is pretty low key, but also pretty deep. I dig it

Still think this is the best song and lineup the band had, I enjoy their newer music as well but none of their new stuff holds a candle to this song. It’s one of the best metal songs I’ve ever heard though so there’s that too.
