If you want to make the rounding part easier you can do the following. Buy a square plank and a pre-cut round one. Cut the round one into two equal halfs and connect them to the square plank with pegs or dominos.

Hey great project,u pulled off the shape- but its glaring when people use hardware store pine/fir and stain it to look like hardwood. Gives the project away as a diy vs the real thing. U should check out hardwood stores/dealers yes the wood will cost more for walnut or something but u will be even more proud of the result. Combine ur skills with actual material and wow id buy 1

@@UnsophisticatedDIY Correct, when I started, I used reclaimed wood and made rough draft versions.. Its been since 6 years now since my first furniture, and ive got the confidence to use expensive stuff and not ruin it.... well for most part :D :D

Loved this.. Im gonna try a modified version of it this weekend, havn't made a single piece of furniture since last year, Lockdown here in India has been killing me.. Also, just my OCD maybe, but i never let anyone stand in the opposite direction of my Brad nail gun. I fear the wood might break or i might miss a spot, and may shoot a nail through and into the person in front. Please be safe :) All the best...
