18 minutes.When my child stole earings from a store I embarrased her by making her write a letter of apology and take it to the store manager..She never stole anything again.Embarrassment works better in the young than the old.I think. Its going to hurt you a little bit now but the alternative is worse.if you dont get caught.

Thank you very much, wise Rabbi :) war is very disturbing to me. I struggle with belief in g-d in times of mass-death, so I stay out of it like the rabbi said in an earlier stream. I follow the rabbi in hopes I may develop this skill of asking the right questions and choosing the right words when speaking

Thank you very much Rabbi. All will go well! Think good, and it will be good. Since every phenomenon in human society comes from one point: the content of our brains. And the good is to serve G-d. The good is appreciation and compassion. For example, Do not steal = When your friends become wealthy, feel joyful with them and thank G-d together. ( Do the opposite of stealing!). Do not murder= Give life to the others.Give how to serve G-d with joy, the knowledge of G-d to them. i have learned all these from Hasidism. Thank you. May the Almighty bless you, all the editors and their families. May everyone over the world would think, speak and act as a part of G-d.

How is it that when you assist people in their needs later on they become your worst enemies
@houmanrm

It's not always the case. I've had both good and bad. Usually people that need a lot of help have underlying issues too. That's usually a reason why they got in the bad situation. They will act very nice and friendly to get the help, because they genuinely need the help, but once you become familiar, they cannot keep up the front too long. These are not necessarily 'bad' people, but very damaged. It's horrendous what life does to some vulnerable kids. You have to forgive them and not expect anything, or else your disappointment will be the start of a vicious cycle. They can't cope with anxiety, feeling inferior, owing, being told stuff, managing money, staying courteous in disagreements, being dependable etc. That's why they need your help actually. Thank you for being generous to those who need it. The world needs it.

Eliminate the desire to receive something from helping others and this becomes a non issue. Ultimately the decisions others make don’t have anything to do with us, it’s a reflection of them

I was working as a substitute teacher ten years. During one of my assignments there was a attractive dark haired female teacher. Didn’t know a thing about her. Out of nowhere she began insulting her husband. He’s an idiot. He’s a fool. Can’t do anything right. He breaks his cell phone over and over. I was appalled at what she was saying about the man she vowed to love and cherish. I backed away silently.

Why did you not guide her or tell her about marrying him? I took Land Mark Education classes for three yrs. I met a woman like this😢. It bothered me so much. But at the graduation, we were supposed to say what this class taught us. I looked her in the eyes, and said, I learned mo matter how successful, rich, powerful, educated, or famous we become, if we have no kindness we're nothing."🎉

So, when kids aren't that much awake, it is the case they are trying to tell you something... That's what I discovered. It's not of much use trying to wake them up, in this case. Grandparents know this. Or maybe... great-grand-parents? :)

The sages say embarrassing someone is like murder? What about people who are totally wrong, factually incorrect, and this wrongness is causing them and other people a lot of harm? What if the only way they can learn the truth is by telling them, and the certain belief to tell them would embarrass them? "The highest standard is about serving others, serving the creator." I agree with this, but I don't see how you can believe this and at the same time be afraid of embarrassing people who are wrong. Take the issue of race. For over 100 years all science has proven race doesn't exist in biology, there are no race genes and in 1900 the discovery of human blood types proved this; but almost everyone is still identifying as some race that doesn't even exist! How would you, how would anyone, be able to explain to someone who believed the Earth was flat that it is actually a globe and without embarrassing them? I have no control whether or not a person is embarrassed. If I were purely self interested, I wouldn't even care to point this out but since racism causes so much grief in the world I'm compelled to. Embarrassment is not at all like murder. You're saying forget about your ego because its not important compared to tikum olam but if another person is so caught up in their ego, to set them straight so they stop hurting themselves and others almost always means embarrassment. Humility, often times, follows from embarrassment. Murder is a different deal, has to be. What good follows from murder? No good follows from murder. What good follows from War? Arguably, the good is saving your own life and the lives of those you love from people who would murder them: kill or be killed. Jews are not supposed to turn the other cheek as I understand Torah but I've got so much to learn. At the same time, it seems obvious to me, that Israel ought to fight this War against Hamas and probably even fight a War with Iran to bring all the terrorism to an end. Does your book talk about that, what should Israel do given how its constantly being attacked and plotted against by the military of Iran?
