Awesome! I am about to build something similar. Have you had any ricochet issues? I was thinking of bolting the plates in a way that made them hang at an angle to help small calibers bounce toward the ground if that were to happen.

No ricochet issues. Small calibers basically disintegrate.

the chains make ricochets no issue as far as i know.. the plate moves just enough that they go straight into the ground

How’s tube stand up to impacts from pistols? Rifles will obviously go right through it

Pistol would probably go thru also, or at least dent, so you gotta watch where you shoot.

Buy a vise. You might wish you hadn’t welded the chain’s on you will hit them
