It “was” the best mode. I believe they have purposely left it to rot so they can scrap it and re code it completely or bring in a new better mode that functions like universe mode. This issue goes farther back than a lot of people realize. I also blame the 8 month development cycle that really doesn’t leave a lot of time to flesh out something meaningful.

I think we need to start phrasing universe mode properly. People always say how do they not touch the best mode in the game. Correction the mode is a great idea, but the execution since 2k took over has been a failure. By no means is universe mode the best mode in the game. I can argue that exhibition is the best mode in the game.

All they have to do is make it EXACTLY like 2K19’s universe while also having the new stuff they’ve introduced since then and adding more. Like I love that run-in mechanic they had because you could do pre-match, post-match, mid-match, and even MITB cash-ins on any show. I want to go back to 2K19 but the problem is the game is just so outdated I wouldn’t be able to actually be interested

You'd hope they've been working behind the scenes on a brand new Universe Mode for when the game goes fully New Gen, which HAS to be WWE 2K25.. It doesn't need us to tell them the mode is broken, i'm pretty sure they were aware 2/3 years ago that's why they've removed so many things over the last few games and still not brought them back.. Either way they have to do something MAJOR for 2K25 for me to buy the game as i'm losing patience with these Devs and series as Universe Mode is my go too mode.. And i will NEVER play MyFaction!! WWE 2K25 really is make or break...

they need to get rid of Superstar universe mode, look at how universe mode started from smackdown vs raw 2011 to now, they only had one universe mode, not two. Get rid of all of the option in the game, it's obvious that the game is not coded properly. It all goes back to the coding. I would be fine if they put in create a pay per view mode to replace universe mode where players can create any show they want in the game. use the template from 2k19's universe mode and go from there.

@@Zergrush66 thats why I wouldn't add anything new to Universe mode. Since 2k22, VC have been struggling to code the wrestling games properly. If that's the case, get rid of Superstar Universe mode along with the features in that mode and go back to basics. they are making that mode way too complicated to work.

I think potential rivalries was a good feature which was adding to the randomness of rivalries, shame that it went. We need 3 on 3, faction rivalries, triple threat / fatal 4-way rivalries too. Stories should be integrated like legends 2. Also think number one contenders matches should come back, and special matches being announced at the end of the rivalries like 2K18 and 2k19.

I agree with you Bryan, I’m over my faction. The only thing keeping me playing it (2k24) is the GM mode. But I’ve always played these games for the Universe mode. With that being said I don’t think I am going to buy wwe2k25 to be honest. And it’s sad because I’ve been playing these games since smackdown vs raw 06 but $120 for just a GM mode isn’t worth it.

I dont think they look at game development or progession for the players benefit. Most of the advertising for 2k25 will be entrance graphics. Currently replay of highlights doesnt work at all and they dont make any effort with camera presentation in ring. It is supposed to be a sim and AEW fight forever had better in ring camera presentation than the last three wwe games. Community creations base face templates need an overhall and the image limit needs to double. The server life needs extension not cutting. Essentially your going to get 2k24 wrapped up as 2k25 but with a smaller roster of current stars and more retired or deceased stars of wrestling.😅😢❤

in my own fantasy land I think they honestly should give the game back to Yukes/THQ Or even collab with them on it … use every thing from old gen for gameplay like SvR 2008 and mix that with nxt gen with the new generation hardware and just imagine the potential it’s like playing SvR 08 remastered for PS5/Xbox keep all the stuff we loved back in the day but literally just build it in unreal engine 5 and add TNA rosters and add legends and make them all unlock-able through gameplay etc etc . We as fans know what we want to play so did thq and yukes they understand the culture and how to make a wwe game 2k just used the best computers to make it all look pretty and smooth while ofc that’s an A+ but its expected in 2024 They got graphics and character models perfect and menus and things are nice and organized imo but there isn’t any tru substance in any other modes, best modes is literally regular exhibition or MyRise , online servers never …NEVER work , super buggy at times , MyFaction ruined the game with keeping things locked behind it having to pay money to just use them in game , Showcase is cool but man it can get dragged and tedious at times and feels forced to play just for the rewards It just don’t feel as fun to play anymore now that 2k owns the WWE game titles and I played NBA2k since 16 so ik about how this company loves to drain people of time and money Just sad to see them doing it to a game/brand like WWE that some people have real life connections to through watching as a kid #savewwe2k25

Just did a bit of research and turns out Take Two Interactive is who owns 2k LMAOS 😅 don’t they specialize in story telling games & RPG’s ??? man someone either agree or correct me but that probably why the WWE games have been so bad …Take two is tryna to step into a genre they just haven’t perfected or hardly probably know much about wrestling wise … take two made HUGE tittle like GTA RDR2 & NBA2k Series NONE of those have to with wrestling in anyway even there more vintage games aren’t even associated with fighting so I can see why they struggle so much to get it right with WWE is all new to the development team probably and we all know 2K don’t care about quality of it can make them money 🤦‍♂️ they tried stepping into a genre they don’t really care for and it shows … look at their storytelling and decision base games in their RPG’s. That’s really where they shine. They know what they’re doing when they make those games WWE 2K game I played throughout the years just does not feel right. It doesn’t feel the same. It’s always fun and cool to play now and then don’t get me wrong it’s still WWE damit 😭🤘🔥 but there’s always a spark missing. and I feel it has to be that the company is not owned by THQ and Yukes anymore so the love for the game is gone I also read that THQ was dropped from collaboration with 2K simply because they were working on a side project that just goes to show how hungry 2K is for money
