Looks great! My only suggestion would be to miter cut the corner guards so the ends don't overlap. Relatively simple and would improve the appearance dramatically.

KZbin has got a few , some are not going to be for aquariums but I have seen some killer builds that would easily support any aquarium, have fun and build yourself , recording your work and making it a video !!!

Thank you! For your question, I'd never go iron. It'll rust from spilled tank water. But you may have meant steel, in which case that's way stronger. But also way more expensive. Wood has always worked for me and it's so customizable.
