First thing I would look for is to see if the cable connection has come apart or is loose. The next thing i would do is look at where the cable connects to the throttle to see if there is any damage or if the cable is loose or broken. If all that looks okay, you may need to contact customer support or replace the throttle.

Hey Lance, I am looking at the new Himiway Zebra (D5) Pro. Its got a mid drive. They say top speed is 20mph. I am thinking it can be unlocked also. But, unlocked is it 25 or 28?

Hi Richard, hope you are having a great weekend. I have been looking at that D5 Pro also, it looks really nice with the new specs. The new mid-drive 500w 130nm torque motor with a torque sensor really looks interesting. I am thinking it will do at least 28 unlocked, it looks like the info on the website might only being showing the top speed for the 750w motor. That is what I have currently on my original Zebra. It has the upgraded 750w motor that has 86nm of torque. unlocked it does 24 mph on throttle only. It will hit 25 then back off and stay steady at 24. Pedaling is the same thing. Once it hits 24 it backs off the power. If it is anything like the regular Zebra it will be a powerhouse.

Can this be reverted back to the old settings once done. Definitely not for resale purposes 😂 I have the KD718 display which gets it to 32 mph but actually the reason I bought it was to set a password to start the operating system as another small layer of security. If anyone knows how to unlock the UK version restricted throttle please let me know.

Yes, you can set it back to any speed you want. Its not a permanent setting.

Does that kd718 display really get the speed up? Been questioning it for a bit cause I heard just 27 to 28mph. If it does 30+ then I'm definitely buying it?

​@@mr.raiders7029I got mine literally 3 days ago I absolutely LOVE it!🥰 Even without the speed boost! I just discovered this video today so I'll report back, mine was topping out at 20.5MPH without pedal assist but this supposedly allows you to get the throttle up to 28+. Not sure about 30 straight up, definitely could do it bombing some hills😂

@@mr.raiders7029 turned on the max speed (bear in mind im a 320lb guy), without pedaling once I can accelerate to 25.5 on a flat ground. I bombed down my hill otw home from the grocery store (so another ~20lbs on my back) and I got to 32. I wasnt throttling once I was going downhill. Almost got some speed wobbles cuz it just rained. Having too much fun on mine!

Yes, but in the menu is shows it as KPH even if it set to MPH. So the numbers you see on the scene is in KPH. Adjusted it to 40 gets your top speed on motor only to 24mph.

@@theridewithlance so I guess with the pedal assist and shifting properly you can "theoretically" hit 40ph?

No. The 40 you see on the screen is 40KPH. That is just how rad has the menu set up. 40KPH equals 24mph, but I guess if your super human at pedaling you could get to 40MPH.@@theREALchriszito
