Someone pitched an incredibly simple video that would cost them absolutely nothing and take about a day to get the batteries, swap them out, and shoot. I think the video would have been WAY better if they actually tested some of the mods, as opposed to just replacing the batteries. Mostly because they absolutely do have the means, and it would be cool to see. I find it hilarious that LTT would EVER give a crap about what people don't have access too at home. As a longtime fan, I both enjoyed and was disappointed by this video. The battery swap is interesting and cool. The mentioned methods of weight reduction are cool. I love how the crew reviews the mouses. What's disappointing is that video offers so much in the title but lacks. If the content teased in the video was included this would be an amazing video. In reality its a great video setup with missing content. The way that the video says we stuck to things only our viewers can do does not represent my view of the LTT way. In my experience, the LTT way is to ignore what is logical for the video viewers and to do something amazing, while occasionally offering a realistic way for viewers to achieve a similar result. I personally believe this video deserves a follow up delivering content teased here. It would be great to have a video showing about tearing apart a mouse and 3d printing a new casing for it. Then afterwards showing a DIwhy method of doing it with a drill and stuff like that. I enjoyed (laser) James hosting the video. It was great to see content that reflects what Linus has said about seeing the machine (LTT) working. You guys probably won't read this comment, but as a long time fan I really wanted to leave feedback since you always say you read the comments. PS: Taran Rules

Yeah, I don't have a printer, and buying one just for making a shell for a mouse seems a bit excessive. And with accurate measurements I mean that the printed form has to actually somewhat fit on the mouse. If tolerances are to lose it requires manual cutting to make it fit and at that point, why not just cut the piece that's already on there. Basically a 3d printer being "pro" as compared to just trying to do it with a knife and drill.

I've always thought about a mouse that has a sensor at the tip... so that all the fingertips will point at the sensor while holding the mouse... theoretically, it should give you more accuracy, like holding a pen kinda feel... also it should help to cover more distance for wrist flickers, compared to the mouses that have the sensors in the middle...

I find it funny that when comparing prices you get the price from Logitech's website for the G Pro Wireless, which is 150$ and from Amazon for G305, which is 49$. If you also search for the price of G Pro Wireless in Amazon you will find that it actually costs 128-130$, having also an option for refurbished from 115$, on eBay you can find it for less than 100$ all the time as well, and since we are talking about modding a mouse, I would consider these type of buys (returned or even lightly used) as an option as well. In conclusion, the G305 in Logitech's website is 60$, so please, be more transparent about the prices, I don't think the average consumer will want to have all this trouble for a perfect G305 when you can get such good deals on the G Pro.

I've used the G305 extensively for the past year or so, and I can say without a doubt that it's a rocking mouse with "long battery life" (obviously might vary but still very good) On High Power mode. It also has an incredible amount of durability since as a gamer, I am very much prone to raging and have repeatedly smacked the mouse on the desk with no damage (to my knowledge) to be seen, although I have no comments on the weight since most of the mouse I've used in the past were as heavy if not more heavier than the G305, overall great product.

Something you forget about! g305 only rated for 10-million clicks. While the gpro wireless is rated for 50-million clicks. Which for me makes the cost-savings null n void. Since g305 is 3rd the price, yet has 1/5th the shelf life to gpro-wireless. If you wanted to save money and wanted wireless, then 110g is fine to you, a g703 is half the price with same amount of rated clicks 50-million.
@Drinkyoghurt5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but honestly by the time the G305 wears out there's probably something better or cheaper out on the market, and by that time the G Pro wireless' non-replaceable battery will have worn out as well.
@nicholaslau31945 жыл бұрын
Mice fail for other reasons than switch failure. The average office worker clicks 5000 times per day. Let's assume a gamer clicks twice that at 10000 clicks per day, around 1 click every 8 seconds. The G305 at 10M click lifespan will last more that 2.5 years of 10000 clicks every day. Since both mice come with 2 year warranty, you can see that the click lifespan is largely irrelevant.
@krich1065 жыл бұрын
@@Drinkyoghurt For the wireless market, updates don't happen that often far as logitech. I've been using wireless mouse before they were good, since early 00's. Wasn't comparable to a wired mouse till the g903 came out, they always claimed it was, but that was the first to me. Then as a gamer, I'd say your current mouse you love, will be the mouse you'd look for when it dies. Just because you're used to it, long as the sensor is as good as you're. My g703 battery going full 29-ish hours still after a year of heavy heavy usage. Say 6-18hours a day, 7 days a week. I also kovaaks an hour a day, which is much more clicking than normal users. I'm impressed with the paint job, since it just looks smoother on the left click. I normally wear off any paint or rubber within 6months. Look at shroud still using a g303, plenty of newer mice since then, but thats what he got used to. Sorta doubt the gpro line will go down in price, since its their flagship of sorts for gaming mouse. What will happen is like the g303, you'll find people like shroud willing to pay 250+ dollars for it. Since logitech will finish off inventory and directly replace it. Look at old mouse prices. My old fav a g700 goes for over 200 as well currently, I bought it retail brand new for 70 when it was still made. I still want a wireless 4-thumb button mouse though :P, a good one, not no g603 which is trash. I'll replace my g703 with it, when I see logitech make one. I only buy logitech mice.
@LaskyLabs3 жыл бұрын
The only thing I don't like about it is how loud the click is. But I replaced my old corsair with it. It had started double clicking on a single click. But no wire? Honestly, it's pretty NICE.
