You’re welcome! You can choose this (and any AirPlay device) from the TV control center, but they won’t be the default speaker like HomePods 2 can be. An unfortunate locked feature to just HomePods.

Thanks Stephen! What would you recommend: 2x HomePods 2nd gen or 1x era300 for the best Dolby Atmos effect? I wish to connect it to Apple TV. (I saw your video for that but i want to know if you have any conclusions after a while)

Well strictly for connecting to an Apple TV the Era 300 won’t work. You can AirPlay from TV to the 300 but you won’t get Atmos, and it can’t be set as the default speaker for TV like HomePods. The 300s are really for rear speakers used with a beam or arc. So for your setup I’d definitely go 2 HomePods!

Hi Stephen - In your video you show two speakers attached to the EVE Air Play. How do you combine the speaker cables to the airplay device. I bought the Belkin Airplay 2 device and needed a separate device for each speaker. I have a pair of Samsung M3 Wireless Multiroom speakers. The speakers have an Ethernet connection and a digital audio connection. I had hoped Airplay 2 would allow me to use the speakers with my SONOS speakers and my HomePods but the lag was terrible. The Samsung M3 speakers sound great by themselves but have three input modes ( Ethernet, Digital and I think Bluetooth). One needs to check the speakers to see which mode they are in. Originally I used the M3 with a 65” Samsung TV as rear speakers using a Samsung WiFi connection box. Will the EVE Play do more than the Belkin modules? Do I need two Eve Plays?

I have an Onkyo AVR with speakers in Zone 2. I've tried connecting the Eve RCA outs to the Zone 2 RCA jacks (no luck) and to the Aux Input (no luck either). What are the Eve RCA jacks supposed to connect to? Can't find a diagram or instructions anywhere.

I use a WiiM mini hooked up to an Echo Link to send whole home audio to all of my Echo Dots - this was before the HomePod Minis were released, otherwise I’d have HomePod Minis everywhere. 😊

lol. They've Sherlocked the Airport. There must be a huge black market for those simply to get printers and speakers on network. In my old house, I had a receiver in basement, with wired house sound. I had an Airport plugged into it and magically could airplay to house speakers.

Still using one, actually 2, thinking about getting one for the garage. The only problem I had was the Wi-Fi is old. Had to get a second one so I could plug one into my router, the second is on my Marantz. That way they were on the same version of wi-fi.
