Make your own easy sliding barn door hardware!

If you've ever wanted to jazz up a piece of furniture with some funky sliding barn doors, but have been unable to find where to buy the track and hardware - don't fret!!! I've got your back with this super easy to follow tutorial on how to make your own !!!

You did a great job, so thanks. one question, after you hang the long flat to your furniture , can i install the door the backwards way so nobody sees the bars on the front. ? or would it push out at the bottom? (just me thinking. ) curious.

,GREAT tutorial!! the hard ware is pretty expensive if u buy it online. id like to give this a try for a closet wr have that has no doors..ill tag ya if/when i get around to that part of the to do list thanks for sharing!🍻

Joe basement woodworking hey no worries :) this won't work for larger heavier doors as all the components would have to be beefed up but the principle is pretty much the same :) Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting !!!

what material is the flat bar made of? what kind of drill bit did you use to drill into it? did you use any sort of liquid when drilling? I'm a total novice when it comes to metals. THANK YOU!!!

Built by Jessie hey no problen :) it's steel and i use the gold coloured drill bits (I'm pretty useless knowing what's what too!) And no I didn't use any fluids as the steel isn't thick enough to get the bits too hot :)

@@rusticduckfurniture4744 , you should buy drill bits that are designed to drill through metal, not wood drill bits. and if you want to save your bits from dulling you should add a drop or two of oil onto your drill bit. before you drill, just trying to help.
